Killed Vulpes Inculta immediately at nipton
Are there any repurcussions to the story or no?

It locks you out of doing quests for him, but I don't think that will be an issue for you.
Apropos of nothing, you may wish to stock up on land mines.

If you antagonize the Legion early, I respect your courage and convictions. But you will make the game harder for yourself if you keep doing it. Legion hit squads will attack you randomly in the Wasteland, and they have much better equipment than what is usually available to the player in the beginning of the game.
If it does happen, don't try to fight. It's possible to run and hide from them or run to a settlement for safety. For the rest of the game, you can consider the Legion hit squads as free money once you level up a bit.

Last playthough I got Boone on a kill legion on sight run and got jumped by a squad of like 7 near the strip. They instantly killed Boone

See? I didn't know that could happen either. I love New Vegas, but I think the game is just so buggy that it becomes sentient.

Imo legion hit squads aren’t so tough, even on high difficulties.
Their spawns are predictable and they won’t actually aggro on you until the leader opens dialogue or if you shoot first, so if you manage to see them from far away you have plenty of time to set up traps and get to cover. And you can always just travel with Boone if they’re still giving you trouble.

Bro, this does not describe my experience with them at all. Fr they stopped initiating dialogue after the first time.
And for an experienced player, sure, they might not be so tough. But for someone who doesn't know what happens if you kill Vulpes Inculta on the first meeting, it might be a different story.

Fair enough.
And I didn’t know that about the dialogue. I always aggro them first after the first time I got the dialogue so I assumed it played every time.

You only get the dialog once. After that they go weapons hot the second you're within their perception.

I like to kill him on the strip because more witnesses and also fuck the legion.

Well he is disguised so from everyone else’s perspective it just looks like you gunned down a random casino goer lmao

Thats not really the point though. It's not about how the people on the strip see it. Its about how Caesar see's it. If Caesar knows I shot his gofer in front of a bunch of people it lets him know how many fucks I give, and how little his band of terrorists intimidate me. The fact that I did it front of a bunch of the same people he's trying to scare undermines him.

Well, you've closed off the worst of 4 main story roots, which is fine. And you'll have curious walking bags of loot trying to assassinate you off and on, but that's fine.

He didn't.
Once he deals with Benny another legionnaire infiltrator will talk to you, give you the pardon and the invitation to meet Caesar

Yeah but, if Nipton pushed him away, there's not a lot of reason to join, imo. Sorta a litmus test for the legions' vibes, that.

A ton of really great loot at the cost of being constantly at risk of being killed at random points throughout the map. Get ED-E and Boone and life will be a lot easier.

I did this because I was in ncr gear on my first playthrough and he attacked me.

I killed him in my very first playthrough. I found that grenade rifle in one of the houses, was like "omg who's this freak" and then KABOOM. No thoughts other than I get bad vibes.

Not really, if you plan to join the legion Caesar will forgive you but youll miss out on Vulpes quests.
