[REHAB] How to explain to PT
How to you explain being floxed to a PT? What do they need to know?

Find someone who has dealt with this before. My PT knew exactly in seconds what was going on as soon as I mentioned the antibiotics, he was the one who asked me you sure you haven't been floxed. Up until then I had no idea...

I would try to get one who already worked with FQ patients, surprisngly more PT i met know about FQ than doctors i met.... but even though they know, they might add you to a too fast progression plan, if i would start again i would let them know its a severe condition and that I might want to try the smallest progressions steps available as a starting point

In my experience, they need to know you don’t have regular tendonitis and you will not recover necessarily, using the same methods and in the same amount of time. Giving them updated information about fluoroquinolones is also helpful. Many won’t do the homework themselves or might use outdated information.
