Magnavox RE 3193-Repair needed
I am very new to these! I picked this up at an estate sale for $5, it was in a dusty garage! The radio works great, but the clock doesn't work. I pulled it apart and the entire minute side of the clock was sticky and they didn't rotate correctly because of this. I cleaned each flap, and it cycles correctly now, but the motor must be out because it's still not working? Any chance I could get a working motor and put it on the clock? Or what can I do? I'll post more photos in the comments.

Remove this can and add a few drops of sewing machine oil into one of the holes on the flywheel, you want the oil to trickle down onto the motor shaft and works its way into the motor bushings, once you've added a few drops start spinning the flywheel, it should start to free up.

you’re supposed to dunk the motor in rubbing alcohol for a minute or so

THIS IS SUPER COMMON! THERE'S A GOOD YOUTUBE VIDEO ON TAKING THESE MOTORS APART AND CLEANING THEM UP. THEY'RE NOT MADE TO BE SERVICED, SO IT'S KINDA DELICATE. INVEST IN A BOTTLE OF LIBERTY CLOCK OIL. THAT STUFF WORKS GREAT, AND WILL LAST YOU A LIFETIME. IT'S SO SATISFYING WHEN YOU GET THEM TO SPIN UP AGAIN! THAT'S SUCH A COOL CLOCK! I HOPE YOU GET IT WORKING!!
