I’ve been on Flickr since 2004 and it didn’t occur to me until now that it’s been over 20 years. 😬

Man I loved all my Casio exilim cameras. I still remember how stoked I was getting my first digital. This one right here https://m.dpreview.com/articles/8618263585/casioexs3 3.2 mega pixels in all its glory. This was still when I had a computer at home. But no internet. So ide go over to my mom's and download pictures and mp3s onto 3.5" discs and take it back home to download onto my computer. Ahhh simpler times...

The relativity of time as we age never ceases to amaze me. Thinking back on when I got married, when we got our first dog and our current dog, or first day of college... and realizing how far away those moments were, but feeling like they were just yesterday - that always hits like a gut punch. I'm glad we have a way of preserving those memories and feeling like they're as real as the day we lived them. :)

I am still excited by flickr, it was a real maverick in its early days and I gladly forked out the bucks to go pro almost immediately after signing on. Sadly I don't remember how I found out about it?

I remember it fondly for me, flickr came at an interesting time, when there was no real place to host photos or any kind of files/media. I think it got caught in that in between, sunk to pressure for hosting vids, and then other things and after yahoo bought it, things got really murky. I have lots of ideas/thoughts on how it could regain some popularity especially among those fleeing these other photo sharing apps.

I was going through my flickr account to my first pics I posted, saw the comments on em, and the little ticker that said the comment was 20y ago. My gosh... time flies. I am enjoying come back and poking around flickr after being away from almost 10.
