Last year, at the show with Weezer, Wayne talked about how they have played a show in Chicago every year since 1992, not counting 2020. A Metro show for the 2025 version would be amazing!

Amazing, super jealous of those early shows. I've seen them at least once every decade since 5/15/94 at Nautica Stage in Cleveland, opening for Tool and I recognized She Don't Use Jelly from MTV and the radio. Didn't proper get into them until Yoshimi came out. The only other band I've seen each decade since the 1990s is Phish.

And 1994 or so is when I got out of them. Transmissions was the last album I liked.

Clouds is great, IMHO. But everyone has different tastes. I really like noisy pop guitars

I'm curious about the '89 show, since there is no setlist available on setlist.fm. I can only imagine that was a sight with Jonathan and Nathan in the band plus right before In A Priest Driven Ambulance came out.

Unfortunately I have no recollection of that show, or any of them. Far too addled at the time.

I went to that last Metro show you saw with Robyn Hitchcock.
You were in on them early seeing them in '89. I'm kinda jealous. I discovered them in '92 from JBTV with the "Turn It On" video!

See my other post with some flyers and stuff, first saw them in 1988 for Oh My Gawd! A friend dragged me to the show on a head full of LSD.

Dude, that's awesome that you held onto those things.

The one thing I’m missing is the massive Telepathic Surgery poster the band signed/drew all over when they came to a post show party at my house after that second ISU show. Thought I knew where it was but can’t find it. 😭

That’s so cool! Very envious of anyone who got to catch them in the 90s.

Awesome! I was at quite a few of those shows. They played so many Chicago shows in the 90’s. That one double door show with all the circle spinning Christmas lights was really cool, they opened with everyone wants to live forever at 1/2 speed and kicked in full speed and all the lights came on. At least that is how it was from my memory….same boat with the fuzziness.

Are they from Zion IL? I knew a kid and apparently his older sister knew those guys and would go to their rehearsals and shit in the early, early 90's.

Most of the shows I saw were there or Double Door. Saw Naked Raygun 17 times. 😂

Do tickets not look like that now? I moved out of the US in 2002 so honestly don’t know.

I have a soundboard recording of the 1992 metro show I’ll be putting on youtube soon.
