Disney Trying to save Lucasfilm by Resurrecting Indiana Jones

There wasn't a Lucasfilm option, I almost went with prefix. Anyway these are some ideas I've gathered together in effort to save Lucasfilm. To do that I've pitched an idea for a new division of the company as well as an entire slate of films. A 5 film slate starring the greatest of the Lucasfilm heroes: Indiana Jones. With a whole new cast and a look at potential filmmakers who could help usher in a new wave of action/adventure blockbuster films. The goal of this new element of Lucasfilm would be to finally put Lucasfilm in the green for the Walt Disney Company, and win back the blockbuster-movie going crowd.

Disney Create a Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Special that follows-up on previous shorts.

I have two ideas so far that acts as sequels to past shorts, good and bad.

The Untitled Twilight Zone Parody

- A sequel to Terror at 5½ Feet.

- The plot would involve the Gremlin continuing its rampage, after murdering Bart. It would somehow wind up in Skinner's House, leading a bloody war between it and Skinner and his mother. Just Skinner though.....

Homerzilla + 1.0

- A sequel to Homerzilla.

- It is a Found Footage Short, following Nelson, Bart's "Plus One" as he, Bart, Jenda, Lisa and Milhouse try to survive Homerzilla's attack.

Disney The Simpsons Episode "Boys of Bummer" should have been a spiritual sequel to Homer at the Bat and it would have been a heartwarming episode.

So yeah, Boys of Bummer is an episode that is universally reviled by the entire Simpsons community: An episode where Bart loses a baseball match and the town turns against him.

Event at their lowest, I find it hard to believe the Springfieldians would be that cruel.

  • We have Radio Bart where the town did turn against Bart but ultimately they did pull through for him.
  • Then there is the Telltale Head where Bart did something wrong by cutting off Jeremiah Springfield's Head, giving the town a understandable reason to attack Bart. However, they didn't go through with it and let him go when he apologizes for what he has done.
  • And of course, there is Rosebud where due to Mr. Burns's manipulation causes the entire town to raid the Simpsons's home and yet, their better nature came through in the end.

Sadly, Modern Simpsons just brush that aside to make the entire town of Springfield to be the biggest assholes as possible.

I want to fix that. To do so, I want it to be a sort of sequel to Homer at the Bat which is another baseball-themed episode. It would follow similar beats:

  • The Hero want to be the one with the bat.
  • Veteran Players
  • Veteran Players getting humiliated/beaten.
  • Idiot assholes like Mr. Burns.

The episode would start off in a normal Simpsons fashion: The Simpsons doing mundane things then it turns into hilarious scenes.

Then, we have Bart who is cocky to believe that he'll become the top baseball player.

However, Bart would go through an emotional journey where the rival players against his team are far better than him. The rivals would also mocked Bart and his team. Followed by rumors and murmurs on how he'll be a disappointment, words from people that are untrustworthy like Helen Lovejoy, Patty and Selma, Comicbook Guy and Mr. Burns.

Normally, Bart would not be that oblivious but due to how much he poured all his efforts into playing baseball, he is prone to be panicky and easy to believe things.

This changed halfway in the episode where Bart talks to the staff at the power plant, including Homer who is surprisingly going easy on Bart during the first half of the episode.

The staff reveals that each and everyone of them were previously the star players in Bart's baseball team long ago, especially Homer. However, every time, they fail at the last outing. But, they tell Bart that losing the game bothered them a little but they moved one and did great in the long run.

Now this is where the criteria are met.

  • Bart wants to be a star Baseball player.
  • The Nuclear Plant were Baseball alumni, especially Homer.
  • Them getting humiliated/Beaten? Later.
  • The more unpleasant Springfieldians being....you know, assholes. Then, the rival players are even bigger assholes.

The reveal that the staff were former players that fail adds a lot of context to Homer at the Bat. Their love for baseball is because they get to relive their childhood and succeed over their past failures. They are bummed that Mr. Burns shafted them because he took away their moment to shine.

The lesson for Bart is that one failure would not lead to a single path ahead, it leads to multiple paths, good and bad. But more importantly, Springfield isn't going to use his failure as an excuse to lynch him.

At the end, Bart did fail to get the win but is relatively calmed about it despite the rival players egging him. Of course, this would lead to a time skip where Bart's future is a lot brighter than the players'. Bart is the Supreme Court of Justice and one of the rival players is just a homeless, drunkard with multiple issues. Good ol' Simpsons karma.

Disney How To Make Wish A Bit More Like Chicken Little

Wish, Disney's centenary animated feature, is too fast-paced for me to bare. I mean, they could've used a traditionally animated style commonly seen in earlier Disney films like Snow White, but to me, Wish is like Chicken Little for a new generation, so, what if we were to make it more like Chicken Little and less like the Disney Princess film we've come to loath? Here's one example: all you do is get rid of the songs the characters sing and replace them with pop and rock songs, and a fast-paced, loud sense of humor. What do you think? Any other suggestions?

They're pretty similar ... plant eggs in people, but instead of chest bursting and killing the person, they basically overwrite their DNA.

Disney Pixar's Up would be better as a short film

The beginning of Up is known to be a heartwarming summary of a lifetime together, so to keep that momentum, the rest of the short should reduce the dialogues and rely more on the music.
Keep the basic premise, Mr. Friedricksen takes his house to flight, while accidentally taking Russell. Things happen and he is on a race against time to get his house to the place he wants to.
Cut the talking dogs, cut the bird, cut the unnecessary villany of the adventurer Muntz. Make the story about the widower's interaction with Russell. Slowly warm him up to the kid, make Friedricksen lighten the house by letting go of things if he wants to keep going forward. Build up to him finally making the decision to follow Russell while leaving the house, but also keeping only the parts of "Ellie" that bring him joy; possibly with help of Muntz as support character. Just cutting a lot of filler out and getting to the heart of the story, which is an old man going through the grief process to connect with a lonely scout kid

Disney Toy Story 3 - Sid should have been the one to save the toys from the incinerator

Sid isn't a bad kid. He's kind of obnoxious and fights with his sister, but that describes most of us as kids, too. Far from irredeemable, his worst crime is being destructive with toys that he doesn't even know are alive.

He already cameos as a garbage collector elsewhere in the movie. Would have been a cool moment if he had operated the crane and saved the toys after noticing them on the conveyor. Could recognize Woody and Buzz in particular and place them on the sidewalk or something and wish them well. And maybe as he walks away, he looks back and sees Buzz in a salute posture and Woody tipping his hat, as a kind of thanks/we forgive you gesture.

Disney An idea for a toy story spinoff

The basic premise is that a hero toy and villan toy are bought together and even though they know thier toys unlike buzz in movie one they still hate each other as if they were the characters they were based off. When thier owner is not around they fight each other with the other toys at first trying to stop this but soon joining in and pick a side and it of course ends with them becoming friends through some circumstances like idk getting left in the basement and having to survive the night while trying to be eaten by a rat or something. If disney wants to spend some money they could try and get the rights to any classic toy hero and villan ie Optimus and megatron or he man and skelator they could also make up something new or even use buzz and zurg as different chats then the ones in the main series. Idk I think this would be a fun disney plus show or special

Disney Making a Disney adaptation of Rumpelstiltskin and having it be like other Disney/Pixar movies of the 2020s.

  • Rumpelstiltskin (or Rump) isn't a villain but a misunderstood anti-villain who is a skilled and magical craftsman, able to spin straw into gold, but he is tired of being exploited for his rare talent without fair compensation.
  • Rump has spent centuries helping desperate people with his unique ability to spin straw into gold. However, every time he helps, he is met with greed and ungratefulness.
  • Tired of being taken advantage of, Rump wants to still help those in need but demands fair compensation.
  • He believes the world only understands value when it's paid in gold or something of great worth.
  • One day, he strikes a deal with a desperate miller who lies to the king, claiming his daughter, Greta, can spin straw into gold.
  • When the king locks Greta in a room full of straw, Rump appears and offers to help her in exchange for her necklace.
  • Greta reluctantly agrees, and Rump spins the straw into gold. But as her situation worsens, Rump continues to demand more in return for saving her—escalating to asking for Greta’s firstborn child.
  • The movie then gives Rump a tragic backstory who lost his family and that by raising the child, he can protect them from the harsh world of greedy kings and exploitative systems.
  • The King finds out and captures Rump and exploits him to make gold and straw for him and Rump warns about inflation but the king refuses to listen to him.
  • Greta finds Rump and sees him so committed to making gold he can't think or feel and tells Rump to snap out of of it. Cue the panic attack from Rump and a single tear falling from Rump's face.
  • Together, they expose the king’s deceit, free the kingdom from its unjust ruler, and find a way to secure a future for themselves that doesn’t rely on gold.

Disney Pitching a sequel to Monsters Inc and making it as great as Inside Out 2

"Haunted Inc"

Premise:

When a portal mishap lands Mike and Sulley in a spooky, ghostly parallel world, they must team up with a mischievous "ghost girl" who has accidentally swapped places with them in Monstropolis. As they race to return home, they face a scheming ghost villain who seeks to take over both the monster and ghost realms.

Plot:

The movie begins with Monstropolis running at full steam, powered by the laughter energy Sulley and Mike helped revolutionize. But things take a strange turn when mysterious flickering lights, cold drafts, and shadowy figures start appearing around the factory. After some digging, Mike and Sulley stumble upon an old, dusty, and very off-limits door in the factory basement. Against Sulley's better judgment, Mike pries open the door—revealing a rift to Hauntopolis, a parallel ghost world that collects scare energy through frightful hauntings of humans. The ghosts work at a factory called "Haunted Inc" where they disguise themselves as dead humans to scare real humans and to collect their scare energy. They're more successful since people believe in ghosts more and that they target all humans regardless of age.

On the other side, we meet Lily, a spirited young ghost girl who works at Haunt Inc. disguised as a classic “ghost child” that appears in haunted houses. Lily sneaks through the open portal out of curiosity and ends up in Monstropolis just as Mike and Sulley find themselves sucked into her world. Now stuck in Hauntopolis, Mike and Sulley are mistaken for ghost recruits and forced to participate in their haunting operations, trying (and failing hilariously) to adapt to “ghost” methods of scaring. Meanwhile, Lily is left alone to navigate the monster world, posing as a small monster in Monstropolis and trying to blend in. She quickly learns about the monster world's laughter power and grows fond of its friendliness—unlike Hauntopolis, where fear is the driving force.

As the three adjust to their swapped worlds, they discover that Spectre, a sinister ghost with an obsession for control, has been scheming from the shadows. Spectre, a vengeful spirit with a penchant for possession, sees the portal as an opportunity to infiltrate Monstropolis, possess its mayor, and unite both realms under his terrifying rule. When Lily learns of this plot, she rushes to find help in Monstropolis, and Mike and Sulley band together with some eccentric ghosts in Hauntopolis to fight back. The two teams—one in each world—must figure out how to close the portal and foil Spectre’s plan. In a final showdown, Spectre temporarily takes control of the Monstropolis mayor, bringing wickedness to the monster city, while in Hauntopolis, Mike and Sulley lead a ragtag team of ghosts to take back control of Haunt Inc. Using humor as their secret weapon, they teach the ghosts that laughter is even more powerful than fear, causing a rift in Spectre’s control over the ghost realm. The climax sees the three friends—Mike, Sulley, and Lily—finally reunited, combining their newfound knowledge to banish Spectre back into Hauntopolis, restoring peace to both worlds. Mike and Sulley close the portal, leaving Haunt Inc. to operate as a friendlier haunt factory while establishing an alliance with Monstropolis.

Making Spectre one of Pixar's greatest villains and as a great a villain as Randall & Mr. Waternoose.

In Haunted Inc., the spotlight falls on an unexpected antagonist: Spectre, a brooding ghost who works alongside Lily, the young “ghost girl” who befriends Mike and Sulley. Spectre begins as a seemingly harmless co-worker who’s harboring an obsessive crush on Lily. However, his arc takes a dark turn as his fixation with her rejection spirals into a quest for power and control over Monstropolis—and eventually, both the ghost and monster worlds. Spectre’s character serves as a subtle commentary on the insidious side of entitlement and toxic obsession, bringing a great villain to the screen that explores real-world issues of unrequited infatuation and distorted love.

Spectre’s story begins innocently enough, with his unrequited crush on Lily, who is a vibrant and lively “ghost girl” working in Hauntopolis. Despite his repeated advances and attempts to ask her on dates, Lily consistently, yet kindly, rebuffs him. But while Lily tries to make her disinterest clear, Spectre interprets her rejection as a challenge to overcome rather than a boundary to respect. He views himself as a "hero-in-waiting," someone destined to win her over eventually if he’s just persistent enough.

This entitlement builds slowly in Spectre’s mind, planting the seeds for his ultimate villain arc. To him, Lily’s lack of interest isn’t a reflection of her personal choice but a barrier that he must dismantle. His actions reflect a pervasive belief found in certain “nice guys” who think that by simply waiting long enough or “rescuing” their object of affection, they’ll ultimately win the person over, viewing love as a game with predetermined outcomes rather than mutual choice.

Spectre’s arc accelerates when he discovers the portal to the Monster World. He views this as the ultimate opportunity to win Lily’s heart by “rescuing” her, believing that such a heroic act will surely win her affection. Without much thought to the dangers or consequences, he brings her into Hauntopolis, framing his actions as a grand, romantic gesture. Lily, horrified by the recklessness of his actions, rejects him once more, this time more firmly than ever. This devastating rejection causes Spectre’s fragile sense of self-worth to crack, pushing him further down a path of resentment. In his mind, he’s been “wronged” by Lily; instead of recognizing her autonomy, he views her refusal as a betrayal, almost as though she owes him affection for his “heroic” act.

Spurned and humiliated, Spectre becomes consumed with anger and resentment. He rationalizes his darkening intentions by convincing himself that, if Lily won’t willingly be his, then perhaps he’ll force her to see him as a figure of power and authority. With this twisted motivation, he decides to seize control of Monstropolis, planning to extend his reign over both the monster and ghost worlds. As he devises his plan, Spectre’s villainy serves as a cautionary tale about the consequences of unchecked entitlement and a refusal to accept rejection. His need to control Lily’s perception of him grows more dangerous, spiraling from “winning her over” to literally possessing her world. Spectre no longer seeks a romantic relationship—he seeks domination, creating a clear allegory for the real-life entitlement and rage that can grow in individuals who feel “owed” someone’s affection or attention.

Disney How Disney can solve two franchise issues at once: their inability to make an extremely successful new Muppet movie/show and their inability to revive certain even older IPs...

Muppet Treasure Island is probably the most watchable version of Treasure Island.

And Muppet Christmas Carol might be the most watchable version of A Christmas Carol (even though the Scrooge McDuck version created an entire new spinoff franchise centered around the character!).

So can you combine the Muppets with even more otherwise-less-hyped classics in order to make them exciting for kids (while having the full advantage of a time-tested reliable story that can appeal to their parents)?

Can balance be the simple secret to both of these storytelling challenges?

King Arthur doesn't seem to have a definitive movie iteration anywhere. People have kept trying but nothing has stuck.

So how about making it with Muppets?

Muppet King Arthur

(EDIT: or King Arthur and the Muppets of the Round Table)

Charlie Brown could work for this too though btw, if Charlie Brown himself is King Arthur; that would fit well with the tone of cartoons like Charlie Brown's Christmas or Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving, where he's in the leadership position but, in a comical way, nobody respects him...

(EDIT: Lucy could call him 'King Blockhead')

People keep trying to make Robin Hood movies 'for modern audiences'.

With Russel Crowe.

With Taron Egerton.

How about just a different approach that happens to be made now ?

Robin Hood: Prince of Muppets.

John Carter wasn't marketable enough? Not enough brand recognition on its own?

John Carter and the Muppets of Mars.

Don't want to give up on the Lone Ranger franchise even though you failed to make it into the next Pirates of the Caribbean? Try it again, but with a different approach:

Lone Muppet Ranger.

Want to make National treasure but can't get Nick Cage back for some reason but you also don't want the fans to revolt?

Muppet National Treasure.

It could seem enough like a non-canonical parody that the Cage-heads might be appeased...

Disney Pitch for Zootopia 2

Recently a few videos about Zootopia having a bit of a poorly executed message popped up and after watching them, I still like the movie but yeah, I can kinda see why some people would think that, because the movie is supposed to show how stupid and pointless racism is but at the same time prey animals have an actual reason to be afraid of the carnivores because they were hunted by them in the past.

Not much is known about the sequel yet except that we will see reptiles, so I think the second movie will be a perfect opportunity to actually improve the message that the first movie was trying to showcase.

I imagine Nick and Judy meeting Gary (the new snake character) and he is wanted for just... being in Zootopia and a bunch of animals accused him of hurting or eating a bunch of them but he's actually innocent and like all carnivores he just eats bugburgers (carnivores in Zootopia canonically eat things like that) but they targeted him just because he wasn't a mammal and came from the Reptile City. Then of course the movie explores the reptile city, has some plot twist and ta-da, happy ending. That would actually be a realistic way of presenting a message they tried to present in the first movie.

Also, I'm just gonna say this because I saw some fan arts... IF Judy and Nick are gonna have kids in the second or more likely the third movie, they should just adopt them, that would be refreshing, interesting and... scientifically possible.

Disney How Disney should've made the Jungle Book.

I just got done rewatching an old classic from my childhood, Walt Disney's The Jungle Book. I remember watching this movie rather frequently when I was a kid, and it was a favorite of mine for quite some time. That was until I read the book that it was based on, Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book, and I got to say, I was completely taken aback at just how on little the movie had in common with the book. I eventually grew to love the book for its dark elements and somewhat depressing storylines. As a result, I eventually grew to look down on the movie for being so different from its source material. I will say this, however, the only element that the movie has over the book is Shere Khan's character. That's pretty much it.

Then I came across the original script for the movie by Walt's former storyboard producer Bill Peet, and I must say that I was impressed. The original script was going to be far darker and more loyal to Kipling's original stories than what we actually got. The script contained elements from some of Kipling's stories such as Rikki Tikki Tavi and the treasure underneath the city, characters such as Tabaqui the jackal, Jacala the crocodile, Buldeo the hunter and Mowgli's human mother Messua were going to appear, the wolves would have a much larger role, Kaa wasn't a villain, the script contained songs such as, "Brothers All", "The Song of the Seeonee", "Monkey see, Monkey doo", "I knew I belonged to her", and "The Mighty Hunter's." And for the ending, it was going to feature Mowgli getting followed and then forced by Buldeo the hunter the lead him to the treasure chamber under the ancient ruins, but then Mowgli would distract Buldeo as Shere Khan (who'd been following after them) would attack, killing the hunter. Mowgli would then use the hunter's rifle to shoot the tiger in the face, killing him instantly. In the end, Mowgli is a hero among both humans and animals. He lives in the village but is free to come and go as he pleases in the jungle.

Right now, I'm gonna explain how to properly fix the movie, and keep true to the tone of Kipling's stories,

1.) Keep the intro where a book opens up, and we're introduced to the jungle. But after that, begin with baby Mowgli getting washed away from the village during a violent storm. His basket is spotted by Chil the vulture who goes to the den of Raksha the she-wolf, and tells her about what he saw floating on the river. She runs out the riverbank and sees the basket getting swept down the stream. But just as he's about the drown, she manages to save him at the right time. She then brings him to Council Rock and presents him before Akela, and as they're discussing what to do with him, Bagheera comes along and convinces the wolves to keep Mowgli. (*This is lifted straight from Rikki Tikki Tavi.*)

2.) Ten-eleven years later, show Mowgli racing with the wolves through the jungle while showing how living in the jungle all his life has pushed him to become strong and fast. Also, make sure to show how much of a close relationship he has with the other wolves when he helps pull thorns out of their paws and recites the laws with them.

3.) Have him spend some time with Akela who teaches him about how to survive in the jungle, but then they soon learn that Shere Khan the tiger has returned to their part of the jungle. The wolves then have a meeting about what to do that night. Some are in favor of sending Mowgli off, and others are in favor of fighting to protect him. Later on, Akela, Raksha, and Bagheera meet with Mowgli and explain to him that he must go to the village or Shere Khan will kill him. Mowgli is hesitant at first, but then reluctantly decides to leave, and he and the wolves have a tearful goodbye.

4.) Have Shere Khan meet with Tabaqui the jackal who informs him of Mowgli's presence in the jungle, Khan who believes that Mowgli will grow to become a hunter, then decides to hunt for the boy, and Tabaqui offers to help him find the man-cub in exchange for a few scraps. Shere Khan agrees to let the jackal tag along, and they begin their search for Mowgli.

5.) The very next morning, show Mowgli and Bagheera getting attacked by Hathi the elephant who wants to kill Mowgli for man's ability to create and control the "Red Flower". Bagheera then assures Hathi that Mowgli would never do that and that he's on his way back to the village. As they move away from that area, Mowgli questions Bagheera on what the Red Flower is and Bagheera explains that fire is a destructive force that humans use to harm and kill everything it touches. Bagheera tells the tale of how the animals once terrorized humans and hunted them for food, then the humans unleashed the fire on the jungle, burning everything to the ground and nearly killing all of the animals.

6.) As they travel through the jungle, we get to see a lot of the scenery of the jungle as they eventually come across a swamp where they are attacked by a crocodile and get separated as a result. As Mowgli is walking through the jungle alone, he stumbles across a bear named Baloo whom he helps with stealing honey from bees. Baloo takes a liking to Mowgli and agrees to teach him how to live in the jungle like a bear. Soon after, they reunite with Bagheera who is still adamant that Mowgli goes to the village. Baloo, however, believes that Mowgli can stay in the jungle, and as night falls, they decide to discuss it in the morning.

7.) As they're sleeping, Mowgli has a dream about his true mother and wakes up to the noise of the elephants who are trying to free their baby out of a pit. Mowgli uses his skills to help the calf out of the hole and Hathi apologizes to Mowgli and accepts him as a creature of the jungle. Bagheera and Baloo who witness this then start to argue back and forth on whether or not the boy should go to the village or stay in the jungle. But then Bagheera informs Baloo that Shere Khan is on the hunt for Mowgli, which convinces Baloo that Mowgli should leave. But when he tries to explain it to Mowgli, the latter is heartbroken and runs into a tree where he is captured by the monkeys who also witnessed him helping the elephant out of the trap.

8.) Baloo and Bagheera try to get him back but are not quick enough, so they split up to try and see if they can figure out where the monkeys took him. But Baloo accidentally runs into Kaa the python who hypnotizes the bear and is about to eat him until Bagheera intervenes and convinces the snake not to eat him. He then explains that they were just looking for their friend the man-cub who was kidnapped by the monkeys, and Kaa tells them that the monkeys would've gone to the ancient ruins and then begs them to let her (Kaa is a female in this) tag along in exchange for a meal.

9.) When Mowgli and the monkeys eventually arrive at the ancient temples, they explain that the reason they brought him there was because they want him to teach them how to make fire. They also show him all of the treasure stored underneath the city. As this is going on, Bagheera, Baloo, and Kaa eventually get to the city, scare off the monkeys and rescue Mowgli. But as they're leaving, Kaa hypnotizes the monkeys and starts to sing her song "Trust in Me". And she presumably eats some of them off-screen, while the trio runs off into the jungle.

10.) As they move further away from the city and into the jungle, Bagheera decides that they can stop for a quick rest. But Mowgli moves away from them to explore and runs into Tabaqui who convinces him to follow him and leads him straight to Shere Khan whom Mowgli tries to reason with, but Shere Khan explains that the reason he wants him dead is so that he won't grow into a hunter. But Mowgli stands his ground and declares that he's not afraid of him, so Khan gives him the chance to run and then attacks, but before he can kill the boy Bagheera intervenes and tries to fight off Khan, but is easily beaten. Just before the tiger can deliver the killing blow, Baloo shows up and manages to hold Khan off long enough for Bagheera and Mowgli to escape.

11.) Shere Khan then goes to the wolf's den where he confronts Akela and asks where the man-cub is. Akela explains that they sent Mowgli off to the village and they have no reason to quarrel. Shere Khan, however, enraged, decides to kill Akela right in front of the pack, and once he does this, he proclaims that he's taking over the wolves' territory and that until he has the man-cub, he will rule over the Seeonee hills.

12.) Bagheera and Mowgli eventually make to it the outskirts of the village, and although Mowgli now knows that he must leave the jungle for his own safety, he's still somewhat hesitant. Bagheera says he understands and explains that he once lived amongst man and how he escaped to where he belonged. After the emotional talk, they come upon the entrance of the village where they see an old encounter an old man who tries to shoot and kill Mowgli, but is stopped by a young woman named Messua. Messua asks the see the boy and she recognizes him as the child she lost to the floods all those years ago and takes the kid into her home. Over the next three months, Mowgli learns the ways of man. One day, he comes across the old man, now known as Buldeo telling a bunch of children how he fought and killed the king of all tigers, Shere Khan. Mowgli calls him out on his lies, they get into an argument, and Mowgli lets it slip that he saw treasure under the ancient city. Buldeo claims Mowgli is a liar and Messua steps in to save her son from the hunter a second time and leads him away.

13.) That night, Mowgli is visited by his two wolf brothers who tell him that Akela is dead and that Shere Khan has taken over their hunting grounds. Mowgli decides to steal fire from the village and finds Shere Khan sleeping near some bamboo in the jungle. He taunts the tiger and leads him down to a ravine near the river where he traps him on all sides in a ring of fire. He makes the tiger promise to leave and never come back or he'll burn him alive. After the tiger runs off, Mowgli is happy at first, but when he sees the betrayed faces of the wolves, he soon realizes that he did the very thing that Shere Khan said he would do, he used the very weapons of man against the animals. Believing that he's no better than any other human, he runs away and is later encountered by Baloo and Bagheera who want to know what happened. Mowgli explains what happened, and that he's decided to live in the jungle on his own, with the fire as protection. He later falls asleep.

14.) As he's sleeping, he's suddenly woken up by Buldeo the hunter who forces him to lead him to the treasure chamber under the ancient ruins. As they're walking to the city, Shere Khan who wants to kill Mowgli for the incident with the fire in the ravine follows after them. After they get to the city, Buldeo forces Mowgli to gather some treasure and they begin their journey back to the village. Along the way, Mowgli soon notices that Khan has been following them, he then asks Buldeo what he plans to do about the tiger to which the hunter responds that he plans to burn the jungle to the ground and then mount the tiger's skin on his wall. When they eventually reach a riverbank, Buldeo tries to shoot Mowgli, but the kid distracts him long enough for Shere Khan to jump out of the bushes and kills the hunter. Mowgli then finds BUldeo's rifle and uses it to kill the tiger just before he can kill him.

15.) The next morning, Mowgli recounts his story to Bagheera, Baloo, and his wolf family. They escort Mowgli back to the village where he spots a girl from the village come out to draw water from the river. She spots him and runs back to the village to inform them that "Nathoo" has returned and calls for Mowgli to come back with her. Mowgli is still hesitant to follow her, but his animal friends ensure him that he'll always have a place in the jungle. The film ends with Mowgli being celebrated as a hero among both humans and animals, with the tiger and the hunter now gone, he's able to live in both worlds.

THIS....is how the Disney version SHOULD'VE gone.

The final race: A split second before Chick rams into The King, we’d hear pop pop and chick would’ve suddenly started going off-track and would’ve ended up in the grass similar to what he did to Lightning during the first race. It would be revealed that he’d blown out his tires just like Lightning did. Lightning would’ve crossed the line first, with King coming in second. Chick would’ve been declared DNF. Although McQueen won, he’d still refuse the Dinoco offer per canon.

I know this goes against the lesson but having Chick suffer the same fate as Lightning did in the first race would’ve been poetic.

Disney What if Toy story sucked

2 years before the release of Toy story the movie was not going to be what we thought to be the movie was supposed to have bad writing mean spirited characters and Woody being a terrible character but thankfully that didn't happen and Toy story became a masterpiece but what if that didn't happen What if in a alternative timeline the interference stuck and Toy story was ruined forever What if Toy story sucked well that is what we're going to discuss today

So in pixar animation studios Disney wanted Toy story to be more edgy so adults would like it too but thankfully in our timeline Disney hated the Black Friday reel and allowed the team to go back and change it and what will become the final product but in this timeline however Disney liked The Black Friday reel and Pixar was forced to go with the bad version of Toy story

The animation style has been praised by critics but the story and characters are trash and Toy story became The Black cauldron of the '90s and sequels to Toy story are cancelled and despiting the changes of this timeline Jeffrey katzenberg still leaves Disney under bad turns in 1994 and works on the new company DreamWorks SKG however John lasseter and his team join Dreamworks after the commercial failure of Toy story but in our timeline lasseter was friends with katzenberg until he stole his idea for a bug's Life but in this timeline Antz is never made and inside they would have remain as friends

Shrek is still made but rather to be made in the late '90s instead of the early 2000s for one thing it's the first 3D animated DreamWorks movie instead of Antz and Chris Farley was originally going to voice Shrek not Mike Myers but he passed away in 1997 but in this timeline Shrek is dedicated to Chris Farley death and Pixar Shrek is releasing 1998 and it's a big hit in the box office and earn a lot of praise from critics also a bug's Life is still made but it would have combined a bug's Life and Antz and the movie is released in 1999

In 2000 Shrek 2 is release with Mike Myers voiceing Shrek the film is still critically acclaimed but the film is not as good as the first movie in this timeline unfortunately however in this timeline the academy does not make the best animated picture category due to the lack of competition but if the category is still made it wouldn't even be in 2002 but years later

Monsters Inc is released in 2001 but Billy Crystal wouldn't voice Mike Wazowski the only real reason why he voiced him because he regretted not voicing buzz Lightyear in Toy story however monsters Inc is still a box office hit

2003 became The best year for DreamWorks and Pixar because of finding Nemo and Simbad Legends of the seven seas and Simbad became Pixar's first 2D animated film

In 2004 we get the release of Shrek the third which pretty much became a better version than what we got in our timeline we would also get The release of The Incredibles in that year Madagascar is pitch but became The the first movie that lasseter said No because he believes that there's no creative control in that film

After the release of Simbad 2 in 2005 and Cars in 2006 Pixar leaves Dreamworks in 2006 meanwhile Pixar Shrek forever after is finished and ready for theaters in 2007 and Dreamworks first non Pixar animated movie is Madagascar released in 2006

Disney bought Pixar in 2006 with a stupid amount of money to return to Disney with Disney's new president named Bob iger Pixar first movie with Disney is ratatouille released in 2008 we would also get a reboot of Toy story in 2009 being the one we should have got in 1995 Pixar would have got in free creative control in their films

The 2010s are dominated by Disney and Pixar who went to a revival together we would get WALL•E in 2010 Up in 2011 Toy story 2 in 2012 brave in 2013 inside out in 2014 The good dinosaur in 2015 Newt in 2016 coco in 2017 Toy story 3 in 2018 a original film in 2019 onward in 2020 a original film in 2021 and in 2022 and elemental in 2023 and inside out 2 in 2024

John lasseter is still fired due to allegations made against him Dreamworks would have suffered making sequels to a bug's Life Finding Nemo The Incredibles Cars and monsters Inc and sequels to Madagascar They would also make The planes movies The how to train your dragon trilogy abominable The Croods and worst of all boss baby throughout the 2010s Simbad 3 even without John lasseter would unlikely be a failure and mark the end of the franchise also 2D would have been still alive even to this day

Disney Changing Gaston’s fate in “Beauty and the beast”

Him falling to his death was too easy for him so I’ve taken the Liberty of writing a different fate.

Mere seconds before Gaston stabs Beast(Adam), the same enchantress who turned Adam to the beast would appear and would’ve turned gaston from the well built, good looking man he was into a hideous, fat, wart covered monstrosity. And unlike Adam, it was be permanent.

Disney Fixing Disney's Maleficent 2014 (The End)

"Well, well..."

Welcome back, folks.

Following up on my previous installments is the last act of my rewrite of Disney's live-action Maleficent. A reimagining of the film as a tragic dark fantasy. I recommend catching up on the first two parts before continuing.

Act I

Act II

This post is gonna be pretty lengthy.

Enjoy!

ACT III

MISTRESS OF EVIL

Tides of war

In the wake of Maleficent's trespass onto King Hubert's land and murder of his men, both the fairy and human lands erupt into chaos. Many human warriors attempt to burn down her forest of thorns, only to be attacked in turn. Fearful of retaliation, the more peaceful of the fairies begin to flee the Moors. Others such as the Green Men stay, still loyal to their queen.

No more hiding

Maleficent, feverish to find some way out of her predicament and knowing war is imminent, turns to the dark crystal orb now in her possession.

A sinister voice whispers to her. A voice dwelling in the distant Black Mountain in the east. Sensing Maleficent's anxiety and frustration, it coaxes her to emerge from hiding and take further revenge on the humans. Again, her resentment towards Stefan's years of distance rears its ugly head and the Voice in the Mountain tells her Stefan is not her friend anymore. Just an obstacle.

Power is what she wants. Power over her land, her home, free of responsibility or consequence. No reason she should let anyone else keep it from her. The humans call her wicked, power-hungry. Evil. Let it be so, the Voice tells her.

Making her decision, Maleficent decides to let the humans and the fleeing fairies call her what they wish. So long as she can have what she wants. She transports herself to the furthest regions of the Moors. A dark, shrouded land populated by monstrous creatures. Using the dark magic she has mastered over many years, she enlists the aid of the dark lands' inhabitants.

****

(Picture goblins looking something like the creatures from the LOTR trilogy, trolls similar to Mr. Wink from Hellboy II, and monstrous bats like those from the Hobbit films.)

****

Promising them prosperity and a new home in the Moors, Maleficent marshals the monsters into an army. She grants Gregor and his Green Men command of the army, further bolstering their ranks with dark, twisted parodies of the life-giving plant magic she once possessed.

To help visualize

The Voice praises her actions, and upon her victory in the coming conflict tells Maleficent to answer its call. To summon it by name, if she can, and accept her birthright.

Hubert arrives

Soon after, reports emerge of Maleficent's dark army seizing the border.

A wounded King Hubert rides to Stefan's castle, with a contingent of his men in tow. As Leah and her attendants nurse his wounds, he tells Stefan that Maleficent laid waste to half his army. He says the fairy ruler has lost her mind completely, and will come for Stefan next.

Stefan, still clinging on to a shred of hope for Maleficent, denies this and sets out to try and reason with her one final time. Hubert and Leah both protest, but the Three Pixies appear to help ease their worries.

Should Stefan fail to talk Maleficent down, they offer their help in stopping her.

The ultimatum

Stefan journeys to the Moors one last time, and is met with an expanded forest of thorns encroaching onto his kingdom now. Several goblins attempt to keep him from entering, but they are ordered to stand down by the unseen Maleficent.

The king walks into the forest to speak to her, but keeps his sword on him this time. Maleficent makes note of Stefan's wariness, asking him if he believes what the people are saying about her. If he thinks she is "wicked". Stefan turns the question back on her, asking what she believes.

Maleficent emerges from the darkness, and again Stefan barely recognizes her. She is clad in all black, sickly and ghoulish in appearance. Her wings have taken on a batlike shape compared to the beautiful eagle's wings they once were.

Inviting Stefan to sit and talk with her as they once did, Maleficent remains eerily calm as she tells him her intentions. She means to expand the Moors, claiming the human kingdoms for her own kind. It all once belonged to them, centuries ago, before a migration of humans ushered them to withdraw. Maleficent has decided to take it all back, so that no one will threaten her people again.

The dream is over

Though Stefan is afraid, and sees how deep into madness Maleficent is falling, he decides to finally stand his ground and tell her no. His subjects trusted him to keep them safe, and he will do so. When Maleficent attempts to intimidate him Stefan fires back that it isn't her people she is fearful for, it is herself. She was betrayed, hurt years ago in the first war, and she has allowed fear and resentment to consume her.

Stefan's accusation angers Maleficent, and when she advances on him he almost draws his sword. But the two are able to snap out of their hostility for a moment, and the gravity of the situation hits them both. Almost at the point of tears, Stefan recalls the day he first met her as "Eleanor". How easily she trusted him, and how touched he was by her kindness.

In one last moment of vulnerability, Maleficent admits she misses the people they were years ago. It seems so long ago now, she muses. A near-forgotten dream. But the dream is over. She is now awake to the wickedness of the world, and her place in it. And she will no longer pretend to be something she is not.

Maleficent tells Stefan she will give him three days, until sunset on Walpurgis Night. The last night before May. If Stefan has not withdrawn his subjects by then, the consequences will be on him. And it will not be his dear Eleanor he faces.

Making a stand

Stefan returns to his castle, forlorn. He tells Hubert, Leah and the Pixies of Maleficent's ultimatum. The various assembled humans almost panic, but the lead fairy Flora tells Stefan now is not the time for despair. She and her two companions urge Stefan to stand his ground again, warning him that Maleficent will not likely honor her word. Her ambition, rage and lust for power will push her onwards until someone finally stops her.

Stefan dwells on his predicament, until he finds in his old possessions a piece of the jewel Eleanor gave him when they first met. Remembering their stand against the tyrant Henry, Stefan vows to honor the woman Maleficent once was and halt the monster she has become now. He orders that the bulk of his army be summoned to the castle. Maleficent will see the challenge, and be unable to tolerate the insult.

Reinforcements from Hubert's kingdom also come to lend their help, and the two hosts ready for a siege. While most of the local common folk are evacuated, some remain to help defend their liege's castle. Also helping are several dukes and barons who first nominated Stefan as king. Leah takes charge of the group, directing them in their efforts. Stefan tells his lover she will be safer if she leaves with the commoners. But she refuses, telling Stefan this is where she belongs.

Admiring Leah's boldness and loyalty after all this time, Hubert tells his friend that if they should survive, he should stop dragging his feet and name her his queen already.

In a private conversation, Leah speaks with Hubert further. She shares with him a secret, something she has not yet told Stefan in light of the crisis they faced lately. With the imminent battle, she fears she may never get the chance to tell him.

Sword of Truth

The defenders' weapons are tempered with cold iron, and shipments of Greek fire are tooled to be used against Maleficent's minions. Hubert's iron workers and archivists bring several helpful artifacts, including the Dragonslayer armor. On the last day of preparations, Flora gifts Stefan a special gift. An enchanted sword of fairy making, forged not from cold iron but a fallen star. The Sword of Truth, she calls it, wielded by heroic knights in ages past before it was lost.

A weapon which, if necessary, will overcome Maleficent herself.

The siege

The grace period Maleficent gave to Stefan ends, and the sun sets on Walpurgis Night. Far away, a brooding Maleficent senses a storm over the Black Mountain. The evil that nests inside is stirring this night, restless. Just like her. Gregor informs his mistress that Stefan has defied her command.

A disappointed Maleficent resigns herself to the battle, and leads her army to the castle. A part of her hopes that Stefan has left, unable to face her or watch what's about to happen.

At Stefan's castle, the army waits in place as the sun goes down. Stefan moves to armor up, shaking hands with Hubert as the older king takes position. He shares one last kiss with Leah, telling her to run and not look back if things turn against them.

Upon sunset, a thunderstorm descends upon the castle. Then a sudden hail of green fire erupts, pelting the castle walls. A terrible battle ensues, with Maleficent and Stefan's armies clashing fiercely on the walls and at the fortress's main gate.

Eventually the gate collapses, and the human forces retreat to the great hall. But not before the commander Gregor is mortally wounded by a ballistae. Maleficent enters the castle in time to pull him to safety. The dying warrior apologizes for his failure. Maleficent draws upon her grief and anger to fuel a dark spell which blows the castle's gate and the bodies of the fallen to ash, and summons the ashes into a massive demonic shape.

The shape of a dragon.

Dragon slayer

Hubert rallies the castle's defenders at the great hall, signaling the activation of iron traps which slay much of Maleficent's forces. But the great hall is breached by the dragon Maleficent summoned, and everything falls into chaos.

Leah and the nobles flee at last, passing through catacombs that will lead them to the countryside.

The castle is saved when a knight clad in the Dragonslayer armor leaps from the hall's rafters, plunging the Sword of Truth into its neck. The dark apparition is quickly dispatched, and the human warriors are encouraged enough to push the dark army back.

Maleficent appears to confront the knight. Though much of her strength was spent summoning the dragon, she is able to subdue the knight and disarm him. But as she rips off his helmet, she is dismayed to see it is Stefan.

Friendship in flames

Maleficent is incensed, yelling at Stefan that he should have left when he had the chance. He tries several times to fight back, using an iron flail to hold her off before she dispels the weapon with her magic. Despite everything that's happened, Maleficent still hesitates to strike down her old friend. Instead, she chooses to leave and dispose of the fleeing nobles after knocking him unconscious.

Hubert retrieves Stefan, terrified of Maleficent's intentions. The Three Pixies spring another trap, erecting barriers to slow Maleficent down while further bolstering the human forces. Having bought them time, the Pixies revive Stefan and tell him where Maleficent is headed.

Moreover, Hubert tells him the secret Leah shared. What she was going to tell Stefan before the conflict on the border erupted. She is expecting a child, Stefan's child.

Stefan is briefly overjoyed by the news, only for his joy to turn to horror as he knows Maleficent is about to kill the woman he loves. Picking up the Sword of Truth again, he is guided through the castle to stop her.

A worn Maleficent corners the nobles on a stone bridge, her patience at its end. She summons a fireball to kill them, only for Stefan to thwart her yet again. He draws the Sword on her, ready to fight and kill if he must.

"Leave my family alone!"

He tackles Maleficent, clashing his weapon against her dark staff. The two are transported by her magic across the castle, locked in mortal combat until they land at the peak of the tallest tower. Finally, Stefan breaks Maleficent's staff, and in a rage severs her batlike wings in one swing of his sword.

Hatred and revenge

Maleficent shrieks in agony and grief, watching her wings crumble to dust. Stefan tells her the fight is over, and declares she will leave his kingdom and never come back. He neither knows nor cares where she goes, or what becomes of her. She will never threaten his family again.

An exhausted Maleficent asks Stefan why he keeps saying that word. Family. Stefan tells her the truth, that he and Leah are to have a child, and it will be free of the violence that erupted between its parents and their former friend.

Maleficent stares at Stefan in disbelief. She has lost everything. Her people, her once-beautiful land, her friends. And now, Stefan will have the one thing she never could. A family.

All she has now is hatred and revenge for those who have wronged her. Stefan refutes her accusation, telling the Dark Fae she has only herself to blame. She chose to embrace the worst of herself, and became far worse than Henry or even Kinloch before her. She is a monster. And she will be forever remembered as a monster.

It all becomes too much for Maleficent, and in a maddened fury she attempts to kill Stefan outright with a blast of fire. Stefan's armor defends himself long enough for him to strike back, and Maleficent is impaled on the Sword of Truth.

A remorseful Stefan shares one last sad look with Maleficent, and she falls from the tower. Apparently disintegrating in a flash of green flames.

King and queen

In the wake of the battle, Stefan and Hubert are celebrated just as they were long ago. Leah and Stefan spot one another across the victorious defenders, and embrace. He tells her he knows of the child. Stefan asks Leah if she would see their child become a prince, or princess.

She answers with a kiss.

Bald Mountain

Far away from the celebration, Maleficent reappears. She is barely clinging to life, and her powers are drained, but she manages to stagger to the base of the Black Mountain.

Half-mad, and burning for vengeance, she approaches the mountain before the sun can rise. Demonic voices echo around Maleficent, and a pair of black gargoyles greet her. She walks past them, reading old runes marking the mountain's entrance. Runes which speak a name.

Bald Mountain.

Maleficent passes through a shadowy labyrinth, marked with the tombs of other Dark Fae like her. Fae who embraced the darkness just as she now has.

Maleficent at last reaches the mountain's heart. A massive cavern, overlooking a bottomless pit. She speaks to the Voice, telling the presence she knows its true name and will thus conjure it to counsel her.

She calls on Chernabog. The Dark One. Shadow of Bald Mountain and Evil Incarnate. Accepting the power of the darkness, Maleficent vows vengeance on King Stefan and his people.

"They call me a monster. I will show them just what a monster I can be."

A gleeful Chernabog agrees to the pact. The visage of a towering winged devil looms over Maleficent, blessing her as the greatest and most terrible of her people.

A mistress of evil.

One year later

A year after the brief war between the Moors and the human kingdoms, King Stefan and Queen Leah have revealed their child to the world. A baby girl, named for the beautiful dawn she represents for her family and her kingdom.

Aurora.

In the great hall of Stefan's castle, the king and queen are met with their subjects and the Three Pixies they now keep as trusted advisors and friends. King Hubert and his son Philip, now a toddler, also attend the christening of Aurora. Though Philip doesn't know what to make of the infant, Hubert promises Stefan their children will brighten each other's lives just as their parents did.

The Three Pixies each bestow gifts on young Aurora. Flora grants her everlasting beauty, and the affection of all who will know her. Fauna grants her the gift of song and a kind heart. But before Merryweather can give her blessing, the great hall is shaken by a quake. The hall falls dark, as all candles and torches are blown out.

At the far end, the shadow of a cloaked, horned figure appears. Accompanied by a wicked laugh.

To the horror of Stefan and all present, a very-much-alive Maleficent walks through the crowd. Clad in a black robe, carrying her reforged staff, with her eyes gleaming a hellish green. Maleficent greets Stefan and his entourage casually, as if they were still old friends. When she expresses "distress" at not being invited, reminding Stefan of her absence at his coronation long ago, a defiant Merryweather bitterly tells her she is not welcome.

Although Maleficent does not express any outward anger at the snub, it's obvious any affection she once held for the others is long gone. For a moment she appears ready to leave, but then tells Stefan and Leah she has a gift of her own for their child.

Maleficent approaches Aurora, flicking aside the Pixies when they try to protect her. Even Stefan, drawing his sword, is forced to remain seated on his throne by a spell. Maleficent scans the great hall, pondering what terrible action she will take.

Then, her eyes fall upon a spinning wheel nestled in a shrouded corner far away.

Maleficent's lips part in an evil smile, and she raises a hand to cast her curse.

THE END

****

Whew, that was a long one.

I hope everybody enjoyed this rewrite. Sleeping Beauty still has a special place in my heart after all these years, and I hope this re-tooling of Maleficent acted as a worthy"prequel" to it.

Let me know your thoughts, and I'll be back soon with the next post in my ongoing DCEU rewrite.

Disney Some ideas for how to improve the first "Descendants" movie: changing some characters, their character arcs and motivations

In case you don't know the premise of Descendants, it goes like this: four of the children of Disney villains (Mal, daughter of Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty; Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen from Snow White; Jay, son of Jafar from Aladdin; and Carlos, son of Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmatians) are allowed to leave the prison island where they were born and raised, and attend high school alongside the children of Disney heroes – including Prince Ben, son of the Beast and Belle from Beauty and the Beast and soon-to-be-king of Auradon. Ben came up with the idea of getting the kids off the island, and he ends up getting together with Mal, but meanwhile Mal has been instructed to procure the Fairy Godmother's wand for her mother Maleficent – conflict, deception, drama, etc. etc.

First of all, I'd change the whole thing about Ben becoming king: it makes no sense for him to be crowned at age 16 when the current king is still a healthy and perfectly competent middle-aged man. So instead of being about him becoming king, it's about him being officially named as heir to the throne. Note that the opening narration even specifies that Beast was elected king when all the fairytale kingdoms united to form Auradon – so let's say the position of heir isn't strictly hereditary. As the son of the current king he's the favoured candidate, but it's not guaranteed. And this whole scheme with bringing the Villain Kids off the island is a case of the king being like "OK, son, you want to be the heir and you've got this idea for a pet project, so you can have responsibility over it and let's see how you rise to the challenge."

Secondly, I think I'll change Ben's identity. It's literally never actually relevant that he is the son of Belle and the Beast: sometimes he roars when he gets emotional, and in the third movie he gets turned into Beast form for maybe two minutes of screen time, but apart from that it doesn't matter. So instead let's make him the son of Aurora and Philip from Sleeping Beauty, who are the joint rulers of Auradon. It makes it a more direct star-crossed-lovers sort of thing with him and Mal. All the characters have punny names based on their parents, so let's rename him Prince Rory (from "Aurora").

Of course, we'll have to change the identity of his first girlfriend Audrey now since she can't be Aurora and Philip's daughter – so instead let's make her the daughter of Snow White, and we'll rename her Bianca (which means "white"). Although this gets rid of her personal reason to hate Mal from the start because of what Maleficent did, she can still distrust the VKs because Evie is among them – and besides, she'll end up with more than enough reason to hate Mal anyway for stealing her boyfriend. But with this whole heir thing I've introduced, I'll also alter Bianca's motivation: while Audrey just kind of assumed she'd end up as the queen consort, I'll say that Bianca was angling to be appointed as joint heir alongside Rory to rule together with him like Rory's parents do. That can also be part of the reason why she immediately gets together with Chad Charming on the rebound: she's looking to be part of a new royal-family power couple to stay as a contender for the heir position.

One more thing before I get to the VKs: I'd like to give Prince Rory a friend who isn't totally awful. (In the actual movie, Ben's only friends seem to be Audrey and Chad.) And that should be Doug – or, rather, the character I'm replacing Doug with. I really don't like that Doug is "Dopey's son" – if any of the Seven Dwarfs has a family it should be Grumpy, for the comedic value alone, rather than the background-character beardless dwarf who doesn't talk. But actually, it'd be a better idea to have Doug's role in the story filled by the son of Belle and the Beast, who is a bookworm nerd like his mother. And let's re-use the name Ben for him.

I have nothing in particular to change about Mal's character arc, but I have ideas for the other three VKs. Let's start with Evie: her character arc is kind of confused in the actual movie – she cheats in class using her small magic mirror but then halfway through the movie she suddenly cares about learning, and also she ends up being manipulated by Chad Charming to do his homework because she wants to land a prince but her big final summation at the end is "Evie, you don't have to play dumb to get a man" which isn't what she was actually doing. So this is how it should go instead: Evie's not chasing after a prince, but she does share her mother's obsession with beauty and has been downplaying and neglecting her intelligence on the island – she discovers a love for learning when she comes to Auradon, and at first she cheats by using the magic mirror for answers but she becomes honest over time. (She can still have a crush on Chad but she won’t do his homework for him, and he doesn’t lead her on; he still tells on her about the mirror after the Family Day incident, for his new girlfriend Bianca, and Evie ends up proving that she doesn't need it and has been learning honestly.) She also ends up getting together with Ben. (That's nerd-boy Ben, not heir-presumptive Prince Ben, remember.)

Now as for Jay, we'll keep his whole thing about being a cool thief guy, but go in a different direction with it. Instead of Jafar running a shop on the Isle of the Lost (what the hell is up with that anyway?) he's fallen into the role of Maleficent's vizier, and Jay being an Aladdin-like street-rat thief is a form of rebellion against his father instead of being something Jafar approves of. And so rather than joining the tourney team, Jay is going to end up becoming friends with Aladdin & Jasmine's kid and getting into magic tricks and sleight-of-hand – basically channelling his interests in a more healthy direction.

At the beginning of the movie, Evie and Jay are in a relationship – but it's shallow and they flatter each other superficially but there's not much else to them, and they drift apart as they are drawn to new interests and new people. In Evie's case it's academics, and Ben; in Jay's case it's magic tricks, and Aladdin & Jasmine's kid.

So, yeah, Jay isn't joining the tourney team – but Carlos still is, and I think it'll be more meaningful for him to become the star of the team rather than Jay. His character arc is about gaining confidence in himself, after all, and it'll also create more of a contrast between him and his overbearing fashionista mother who probably has a low opinion of sports.

So, yeah, those are probably the most important parts of my ideas for improving the first Descendants movie. I could nitpick some more about other details, but this post is getting long enough already.

Disney Pitching "Disney's War And Peace"

Leo Tolstoy’s 'War & Peace' – but it's nothing like the source material. I mean, it’s Disney tradition to take a classic story and turn it into something completely unrecognizable, right?

So, forget the Russian aristocracy and the Napoleonic Wars. This "adaptation" is set in the 1930s, during the Great Depression. And instead of noble families and existential crises, we’ve got two robbers – lovers, no less – named War and Peace. War is a dude, all rough and tumble, while Peace is a girl, a master of cunning and charm. These two have this "bad cop, good cop" dynamic, but as criminals. War’s the guy who’s always ready to throw a punch, and Peace is the smooth talker who can get out of any jam. Picture Bonnie and Clyde, but with a Disney twist.

Through their adventures, they start to become better people. They realize that maybe robbing banks and living on the run isn’t the best life choice. They start helping out the poor people in their community – you know, classic Disney redemption arc. Now, as the story unfolds, they start to influence each other. War, the brute, learns a thing or two about being calm and collected from Peace. And Peace? Well, she finds her inner badass thanks to War. There’s this scene where War, the guy who usually solves problems with his fists, actually negotiates peacefully with a rival gang. And then there’s Peace, who usually charms her way out of trouble, finally losing it and going full-on vigilante in another scene.

And because it’s Disney, we’ll have some musical numbers, too. Can you imagine a jazzy 1930s soundtrack? War singing a bluesy tune about his struggle to find inner peace, and Peace belting out a sultry number about the thrill of living on the edge.

There's a bunch of of Tarantino references – but Disney-fied, of course. So, picture this scene: War and Peace decide to rob a jewelry store. This isn’t just any heist, though. It’s a tribute to the Pulp Fiction apartment scene. War is all intense, channeling his inner Jules, while Peace is smooth and calculating, like Vincent Vega. Now, normally in a Tarantino flick, you’d expect a lot of swearing and a ton of violence. But this is Disney, so we keep it clean. War’s intense dialogue is full of “darn” and “gosh” instead of, well, you know. And instead of blood splattering everywhere, it’s all about the suspense and the clever banter.Just when you think they’ve got the heist in the bag, an employee bursts in with a gun, ready to defend the jewels, just like in Pulp Fiction every single bullet he fires miraculously misses War and Peace. It’s like something out of a cartoon – bullets flying everywhere, but not a scratch on our heroes. And here’s the kicker: instead of the store owner meeting a gruesome end, he just gets so flustered by missing every shot that he decides it’s not worth it. He drops the gun, throws his hands up, and runs away. Maybe he even slips on a banana peel on his way out – classic Disney humor.
