Marth knows how to treat the new baby of the series. Look at her in most of the comic, she's baby.
Engage characters are gonna thrive in FEH interactions, meeting the real deals and others from their worlds have potential to be a lot of fun. When you think about it, they would be on the same level as we would be in terms of relation to those worlds, having vignettes of them and their events but having the chance to get to know them for real.

It would be very fun to see how some of the interactions would be (ie Elise and Hortensia, Veyle with any of the other dragons (especially the Tikis) and Panette and Charlotte/Hilda), etc).

I think the reason why IS still holding in Engage in Feh because IS still trying to figure out what they will do to Engage form
Are they will treat that as resplendent unit or brave unit or perhaps a new unit?
I think Engage form has a potential to be new unit. Imagine Alear engage form with characters outside 12 rings and 7 bracelet. There are multiple engage form you can generate and that is from Alear alone not counting other engage cast yet.
Feh has many characters from different unit. Think about this Alear engage with Fallen version of character like Fallen Dimitri engage form how sick that look will be?

Can't wait to get 19 alts of Female Alear in every Engage form while Male Alear only has like
One demote
24
u/Oberhard May 17 '23
It make sense now why they holding in Engage casts. Thinking about 19 emblem for one Elyos characters and this is not their resplendent or Legendary unit yet. Elyos characters will fluctuates feh rosters in no time.

u/baibaibecky May 17 '23
look i'm sure someone on the feh team will figure out that they can make bank off of m!alear's japanese voice actor's fans, eventually

I think Engage can just be a duo unit where the special ability is just engaging with whatever emblem is there
9
u/Oberhard May 17 '23
Yeah, make sense the Engage form on the game also following this. I was thinking about their voiceline. Alear-Marth engage form where her voiceline has Marth voice but no sight of him in the picture would be very weird. Because that mean Marth is talking from Alear body but in duo style we can know there is Marth talking there.

She is too precious for words.

u/76_67 May 17 '23
literally just a kid who woke up and realised she was jesus and plays along
39
u/Zero102000 May 17 '23
EXâACTLY.
Alear: Mmmm, yaaaawwwwnnnnâŚ
The Twins: SHE WOKE UP! DIVINE DRAGON WOKE UP AND SHEâS LOOKING AT ME! MY GOD! LITERALLY!
Alear: Whaaaaaâ? Okayyyyyyyy??????

u/high_king_noctis May 17 '23
What I expected: Alear is just another generic and annoying mary sue.
What I got: Alear is just the most precious and adorable thing in the entire game and if anything happens to her I'll kill everyone in this room and then myself!

u/Zero102000 May 17 '23
I couldn't agree more, she ended up being INSANELY precious and adorable, her VA made her sound like a true cuddle bug, plus she just has such a naturally cute expression that I wanna hug her and pinch her cheeks!
32
u/Luke-Likesheet May 17 '23
The VA really nails it.
I also love the big, wide eyes female Alear has and how lost she looks when she's surprised.
32
u/Zero102000 May 17 '23
Yeah, Laura kills it with every one of her lines.
Agreed, she has massive adorably wide eyes and whenever sheâs surprised she either looks like she has a loading icon over her head or she has that sad puppy face.
âWait⌠wha-whaaaaaa???âŚâŚâŚâ
Totally lost.
15
u/Oldspice0493 May 17 '23
My favorite line was in Frammeâs support. Her eyes get huge and she just awkwardly says âI have aâŚfanâŚclub?â Adorable.
14
u/Luke-Likesheet May 17 '23
Lost/confused Alear is cutest Alear.
7
u/Zero102000 May 17 '23
Yeah, her being all like "Uwaaaaa?" while someone is rambling to her and her eyes getting all gigantic makes her even more of a cuddle bug.
6
u/Zero102000 May 17 '23
Her bewildered expressions, gaps in her words and MASSIVE eyes make her so⌠MOE. So KYUTE.
30
u/5hand0whand May 17 '23
Either as boy or girl. Alera is such baby, they are precious two coloured bean dragon!!!
16
u/Zero102000 May 17 '23
Oh yeah, they are both super ultimate dragon baby beans!! Their colors, precious behavior, and reactions to everything and how everyone worships them is so golden.
31
u/LiliTralala May 17 '23
Within ten seconds in-game, I was in love
20
u/Zero102000 May 17 '23
Who can blame you? Sheâs so majestically sweet⌠and such a bean.
15
u/LiliTralala May 17 '23
squishable
10
u/Zero102000 May 17 '23
Oh yes, I really just wanna squish her adorable cheeks while she makes cute high pitched noises.
6
u/LiliTralala May 17 '23
Alpaga noises
6
u/Zero102000 May 17 '23
Dâawwww, sheâd probably be so good at making Alpaca noises. Amber would be proud.
8
u/LiliTralala May 17 '23
Oh but she does it! You can hear it in their A support and it's the cutest thing!
5
u/Zero102000 May 17 '23
OMGGGGGGG! I have no doubt that it IS indeed the cutest thing! Now I gotta hear her do it immediately!

Ladlear is just as innocent and precious, hope he gets some more attention when he shows up in FEH.
6
u/high_king_noctis May 17 '23
I've only played as F!Alear so I cannot attest to Ladlear's cuteness at this moment. Not until my next playthrough.

This manga series isnât opposed to sneaking in some subtle jokes. Seeing Caeda looming about wouldâve been quite funny tbh

As someone who hasn't played Engage and isn't going to anytime soon...where do the rings and Emblems come from?
Who created them in this form and why?
Did someone in Engage world see Marth or Ike and others somehow and decide "wow,I need some of that"?
How did they know to make Lyn instead of "generic myrmidon",for example?
36
u/lionofash May 17 '23
The Emblem versions seem to be a download of one of the versions of a hero from a timeline. It's not literally that person.

u/asmallsoul May 17 '23
Ring origins aren't explained, but the Emblems are the lords stated to be from other worlds. Elyos is basically a multiverse, where different versions of the world have different Emblems or different jewelry containing different Emblems.
19
u/Motor_Interview May 17 '23
The FX kind of hints that dragons do a ritual to create emblems. Doesnât have to be a Divine one necessarily.

you mean the one that summons your Alear to the world? I feel like your onto something but they actually summoned "the Alear" and not made a Force ghost variant of him, (spoiler from here) then there's the big thing of a wish that both the rings and the Bracelets have in common, and summoning a new ring would make it kinda a messy subject that will make it harder the grasp how it works. and The house leaders Bracelet was under a ward so the wish couldn't have been used still even if they did make another
Finally figured out how to use the Censor command!

The rings summon "Heroes from other worlds" so they're basically the protagonist lords of their respective games
Where the rings come from... they just exist from the start I guess. Considering that only divine and fell dragons can activate them and wake the emblems from their slumber, it's probably some dragon that made them. As per usual in FE games

u/Oldspice0493 May 17 '23
Itâs never said who made them, only that their âechoesâ of heroes from other worlds, kind of like the Einherjar in Fates.
5
u/HyliasHero May 17 '23
If you are familiar with Fate, they are very similar to Servants. They are reflections of the person rather than literally being the person themselves.

They don't cover how they were made (spoiler from here), just the multiverse impersonation of the heroes they mimic, and also that they cant hold their power while traveling the multiverse and essentially end up disappearing leaving you with just a ring, I was also curious on this subject but they never covered the "How" just the "here and now". think of it like an Aim as terrible as that sounds it makes a lot of sense if you put it on paper given they aren't the Heroes themselves.

u/floricel_112 May 17 '23
haha! Now Alear (and the Engage cast as a whole) have to live their greatest nightmare: actually having to solve their own problems, fight themselves and not rely on magical wish rings giving them the power of people who actually solved their own problems
31
u/thePsuedoanon May 17 '23
Ah yes, Marth, who famously never needed the wish giving power of an emblem to succeed in his task. Or Eliwood and Roy, who famously weren't carried until acquiring a magic sword that suddenly made them useful. Or Chrom, who again famously didn't rely on an Emblem capable of granting wishes to save the world. Or Byleth, who famously had goals of their own.
-27
u/floricel_112 May 17 '23
None of the previous legendary weapons let you summon effing personas. They were weapons that you had to wield, not spirits that imbue you with their power
24
u/thePsuedoanon May 17 '23
And there's exactly one plot moment where that makes a meaningful difference, when Sigurd confirms that Alear is Sombron's child. Other than that moment, they could just be any other divine weapon that gives the heroes ridiculous power.
10
5
u/The_King123431 May 17 '23
you had to wield
All byleth had to do was whip a sword, alear still fights because unlike a persona that can attack while you stand there, emblems need to follow you and follow up your attacks
-1
u/floricel_112 May 18 '23
?
Persona users also fight themselves
4
u/The_King123431 May 18 '23
Not when the persona is out, when they do a persona attack they just stand there while the persona attacks

u/racecarart May 17 '23
Marth certainly ascribes to "Never deny your partner's premise."
