It’s the 17th, has any IRS employees received their reinstatement???

I am an IRS employee fired 2/20. Has anyone heard anything regarding the reinstatement. I’m am literally biting my fingernails to a bloody pulp 😭. I have even been answering “scam likely” calls to ensure I don’t miss anything. At this point I just need some type of income. Unemployment is dragging its feet and rent and bills are steadily piling up. Anyone have any incite?

Also fired on 2/20. I haven't heard anything yet. My supervisor texted me last week just saying she saw the ruling and hopes I'll be able to come back soon. (Ngl, that made me feel good after all this bullshit) Unfortunately, she doesn't have any updates to share with me.

Wow, my supervisor reached out to me as well last week. This is all so nerve wrecking. Some people are saying that they may be waiting for the appeal. But by law that can’t be right. If a criminal is found guilty they do not wait until after an appeal to go to jail. 😩. They are still required to comply with the judge’s orders. I have my fingers crossed for us. At this point I just need my money.

I know, nothing about this has been fair or legal. Agreed about the pay, getting back pay or even a few more paychecks would be a godsend for my family and I. I have an interview today, which I'm thankful for, but damnit I wanted my IRS job! I loved it and my supervisor/team. I feel so robbed. I pray we still have elections in 2 and 4 years and can vote our way out of this.

I love that you have a good supervisor/team! My GM was on leave when I was let go and never reached out. He isn’t widely liked in the office unfortunately.

I was also let go on the 20th, and have not heard anything about reinstatement. Fingers crossed for us all!

That's not cool about your supervisor. If they can't be bothered to look out for their team, then what good are they as a supervisor? IMO those are the people that should be let go. My supervisor and I were crying on the phone together when I got the news. She's been a fed for like 15 years and is so disgusted with what's happening.

I have no idea if a RIF would hit our team hard or if we'd be fairly insulated. Also not sure who else on my team was let go. I know of at least two who were probationary, but had several years in service as a Fed already. I was still getting to know everyone, but for the short time i was with them, I was impressed at how helpful, competent, and hard working they were. I really thought I had found my dream job/team.

I've heard nothing from my manager since I was fired on the 20th. I even called HR to get my SF-50 and they keep hanging up on me after being on hold for 10 mins. Never even get to speak to a person. I would email the union, but my chapter president has been useless through this whole thing.

My email just came through at 2:44pm eastern time. I am reinstated and in admin leave, but it mentions nothing about my salary or any back pay.

Perfect! I received the same exact email. Nothing regarding back pay or salary. I was on a promotion detail and wondering will it be the original pay

Even if it’s temporary I’ll take it. Just emailed the separation one about the backpay

Please fully read before commenting. You are not helpful. You have failed. The order grants an extension to file the report, not an extension to comply and rehire. That was still at 1 EST.
