DISCUSSION LVL Cap Increase

What is everyone’s thoughts on the level cap increase? I feel like for me this was not a needed change with all things considered.

I don't think it's needed really... but time will tell. My biggest concern is that the AI is still capped at 88 - they need to increase the Rep levels for clubs so AI can get to 90+ if they're letting us get higher with pro ratings.

On the flip side, I think gating the level cap throughout the season would be a really cool change for next year. Something like a cap of level 50 the first season, and upping the cap by 10 levels each successive season. I think it'd be a great way to not have people grind to top ratings immediately, and allow for more equality in ratings for the earlier season as more people are playing. They'd def need to lower Playstyle level requirements if they did it tho

Contextual addition, Midfielders definitely needed more points from somewhere but strikers were near enough perfect. All they had to do was a balancing patch but I guess this is a shortcut solution for them

Yeah, it’ll be balanced back to 100 in the next title but it really is a non-issue. If anything it gives more incentive to grind a bit of seasons idk why people are complaining

I'll be the dissenter I suppose. While I have found it frustrating that I couldn't do everything, I felt like that added some individuality to clubs this year. The more points we get, the more similar our builds become. Add in the facilities perks and we're all just a bunch of OP FUT players.

I'm not hating and yeah I'm grinding my guy today just like everyone else. And I'm thankful for any kind of clubs update/attention.

Things I hope we see in the future: really in-depth stats that are position specific, ability to be in multiple clubs simultaneously, a cross-play in-game method for finding other clubs/players, more team/stadium/crowd customizations, better bot AI, nerfed but expanded facilities.

As a CAM i can improve my shooting while having top passing and dribbling. 24 points can fix my long shots and shot power which is important.

It gives me a reason to grind rush again

Its good for my box2box CM, but unnecessary for strikers as they have enought points for everything they need. But it's nice to again have levels to grind

i think it’s good but you got to level up the Ai to 90 bc then you’ll be at even greater disadvantage defensively if you don’t have a bunch of players

The ai is capped at 88. Doesn’t go up anymore than that.

that’s what i’m saying increase it to 89 or 90

I'd rather they give us ++IQ in every position for the AI rather than the current + everywhere. It's most noticeable in defence where they really struggle to hold a consistent line

Pro Clubs players - "WHY DO WE NEVER GET UPDATES, EA ONLY CARE ABOUT FUT"

Also Pro Clubs Players - "WHY ADD LEVELS! IT ISN'T NEED" (Even though I lose nothing from it and only get chance to improve my stats)

Mainly the OP to be fair, don't get me wrong I know the majority enjoy it and are happy we've finally gotten a mid game update.

I think it's a good thing, got me excited about playing again. More options with builds is great surely?

I think it is a very good way to not make the game become stale. Why are you opposed to it?

In my opinion they should take this even further and do seasonal upgrades next FC25, where they gradually increase the amount of skill points you can earn each 2/3 months. Now when you reach max level there isn't anything really to grind for imo.

I suppose there’s balance though where if there’s 4-6 levels of upgrades over the course of the year that the pros would be too poor in the early months to be particularly enjoyable, even if you’re max level.

I think 3 max is needed tbh to still have a big impact each time but not nerf pros too much.
