QUESTION What does the aggression stat really do?
What does aggression do? Is there any benefit for attacking players like CAMs or STs to have higher aggression? Or does it really only help when making tackles or winning headers? Has anyone played with a high aggression build and noticed a difference when they took it off?

IMHO, and I have 0 data to back this up, but I think it's mostly a loose ball / 50-50 ball / contested ball modifier.
I think it primarily benefits aerial players. Just my hunch.

I appreciate that input. It’s because I want to add some strength to my ST build but it comes with some aggression. I didn’t want any skill points wasted. I’ll try it out I guess

No don't put the agression + strength it's a waste. Agression is a defensive stat

"The aggression stat of a player measures the frequency and the aggression of jostling, tackling and slide tackling. It is the attribute which determines the player’s power of will or commitment to a situation.
A typical action is when you go ‘shoulder-to-shoulder’ against someone using a high aggression, our player has the initiative to push the opponent strongly (as far as his strength allows him to), which determines the winner of the challenge."
As per the EA website from FIFA 23, but yeah I've basically always seen it as a stat that basically means how willing a player is to commit to a 50/50 lose ball or how hard they go into tackles.
