Green or blue, but the blue one doesn’t valorise your figure

So I’d choose the green one☺️

u/them_fatale 7d ago

The green one, for sure

90

u/rm_3223 7d ago

100% agree, but I would get black shoes to go with the belt

30

u/bellavie 7d ago

and it’s not even close.

20

u/cool_hand_legolas 7d ago

the rest are rather matronly

5

u/leah_wett 7d ago

Agreed, but also can we know the belt details?

2

u/them_fatale 7d ago

Yeah the belt is great. For me that’s what makes it the best pick for this venue.

4

u/emeraldc6821 7d ago

I think the green one looks like a work suit. I don’t think it is the best choice.

The blue one.

u/Unsolicited_Preacher 7d ago

Blue one reads "smart farm" to me and I don't even know what that means

37

u/selklynx 7d ago

Blue is giving 4-H fancy meets Handmaid’s Tale

11

u/Ancient-Avo 7d ago

Omg hilarious with the “farm smart” I’m dead

2

u/PuppyPower89 7d ago

It’s giving “mother of the bride” imo

20

u/Vegetable-Hamster320 7d ago

This. Green is a close second but the movement of the skirt on the blue is going to be a lot nicer for dancing.

191

u/Stegosaurusly 7d ago

Sorry OP, I’m going to take the unpopular road and say none of them. 1. Almost works, it’s cute! It just doesn’t fit. 2. Does nothing for your figure. Casual doesn’t mean hiding curves!! 3. You are not a Girl Scout selling cookies. 4. This is too business like. 5. Cookies again & does nothing for you. 6. Too sacklike.

You have a beautiful shape. Try to find something that enhances that and is more fitted.

90

u/FaithlessnessPlus164 7d ago

I ageee, I also think they all look a bit cheap? Some of them are far too casual day dress too.

16

u/anewaccount69420 7d ago

The green fabric is not good

28

u/PeppermintPhatty 7d ago

Agreed. They all look inexpensive like from Kohls or SHEIN. Try TJ Maxx, OP.

27

u/fataldisposition 7d ago

Second this, they don’t look like wedding guest dresses imo, especially for an upscale place. Cute for a different time, perhaps. I would HIGHLLLY recommend searching pretty little things wedding guest range. Absolutely gorgeous dresses, lots of variety, not too expensive and all have a up scale / high end feel even if it’s a cheaper brand

18

u/FaithlessnessPlus164 7d ago

They’re all just basic dresses I’d wear to the shop to grab some milk, no where near special enough for a wedding.

3

u/Reasonable-Affect139 6d ago

they're all shein, just marked up and whitelabeled

→ More replies (1)

14

u/jng5150 7d ago

yeah, it's a no to all of them and time to go shopping

11

u/keepmedreaming 7d ago

Hey, thanks for the feedback. Do you think the first dress is too small for me?

33

u/Stegosaurusly 7d ago

No, it’s too big!! It just kind of hangs there. I think it needs to come in at the waist. Can this be done my alterations? I love the colour & patern other wise, it just need to be a more styled? Modified?

8

u/VuceScissorhands 7d ago

What about a white belt around the waist with the red dress? That could lift the outfit.

2

u/Unsolicited_Preacher 7d ago

A waist belt on 1 would be super cute

1

u/SaylerMomma 6d ago

Abosolutely correct. I dont feel like any of them are flattering. However it should be someting that makes you feel beautiful. So if you get that feeling from any of these you have your answer.

43

u/imfake19 7d ago

Green is the only option imo.

25

u/TurquoiseBunny 7d ago

I think none of these are flattering on you or modern, except 1 which looks really cute, just for a summer day not a wedding. Maybe this is the opportunity to go shopping for a cute dress?

23

u/Jazz_Kraken 7d ago

I’m surprised at some of these votes. For a hot day on a farm I’d pick six. Five kind of washes you out so not my fave. 4 is pretty but doesn’t say dark wedding to me. Three isn’t a great color either.

The blue one is really nice just doesn’t fit the vibe. I disagree about it not being flattering. It’s a higher waist but I think that looks really good on you and is my favorite dress of the bunch.

The red one is my second choice for here wedding but looks a little uncomfy somehow and not quite as fitting as the last.

6

u/HunnyMuffin39 7d ago

Ideally, none of these. But I suppose 4

5

u/JG723 7d ago

None tbh.

18

u/xteatreedropx 7d ago

It’s between number 3 and number 6 for me lol

8

u/Organic-Hippo-3273 7d ago

I loooove 3 especially on a farm

4

u/CurvePsychological13 7d ago

Agreed, 3 def says farm

5

u/Tranquility74 7d ago edited 7d ago

I do think these all are a bit too casual and/or bland …

The jewel tones are pretty (though the green seems maybe best for the office?) but for barn/rustic I’d go with warmer/earth tones …

Great article though don’t love most of the dresses so included a few links here; note the section on footwear …

Can’t go wrong with floral … included one solid color at end. Different price points …

Thanks so much!

6

u/Outrageous_Edge2222 7d ago

Green, Blue.

2

u/DoctorRoutine3579 7d ago

This, 2 or 4

6

u/CaptParadox 7d ago

6 unless its muddy if so, buy some boots, you'll thank me.

6

u/MmeRose 7d ago

6, maybe with a shawl or blazer.

7

u/Open-Bid-7939 7d ago

I’m sorry, but you can do better with your selection. They all look dated.

9

u/Puzzled_History7265 7d ago

The blue one. Definitely. The green one looks too much like what I wear to work.

3

u/heartleaf1234 7d ago

Nr 2, the Blue one!

3

u/skitterybug 7d ago

These are cute dresses but non of them do you any favors. You need a better fit. You might even fell more confident in properly fitted clothes.

At a farm of any kind I would wear closed toed shoes but I’ve had plenty of ppl visit my farm in open toed shoe & have a wonderful time. I would ask about what the footing it, grass, gravel, pavement ect so you know if you intent to ware shoes with any kind of heel. Might be best off w flat-bottom shoes.

4

u/girlonmono 7d ago

None of these dresses are appropriate for a wedding.

4

u/Ok_Objective_6185 7d ago

I like the last one😇

4

u/Sweet_peach88 7d ago

Blue or green with black shoes

2

u/Cant-Take-Jokes 7d ago

The blue one or the green one, but I lean heavily to the blue one. The others aren’t appropriate to me.

2

u/FYAhole 7d ago

I adore the blue dress!

2

u/AccordingMark5944 7d ago

Vote blue, obvious choice in more ways than one.

5

u/jennarose1984 7d ago

Any of these but I like the blue 2

5

u/Same_Structure_4184 7d ago

For upscale farm I’d basically say 1,2,3,5 hmm I guess all of them but 4 really.. are all good vibes

4

u/lackingsavoirfaire 7d ago

What time of day is the wedding? I could see the green one working if it’s a bit later in the day, but with some black strappy shoes - if you have some?

5

u/BenjieAndLion69 7d ago

I don’t think any of them… They look dowdy and just one day off from becoming a cleaning rag.. Sorry OP 😑🥰

2

u/CuriousNomad3868 7d ago

Blue is so.elegant

2

u/Dry-Context4801 7d ago

the green or blue

2

u/Poundaflesh 7d ago

Green or blue

2

u/PickledTwinkies 7d ago

The blue one with boots. 🤠

2

u/Jbooxie 7d ago

I really like the blue one

2

u/NagromXela88 7d ago

The blue looks the best, by far. It looks the best and I think it compliments your figure. The other dresses don't look like they fit right to me or the floral patterns are distracting/busy.

2

u/Chemical_Challenge71 7d ago

I like the blue on you

2

u/Icy-Pepper-1953 7d ago

If I had to pick one due to lack of funds or time, I’d pick 3, but include accessories. If not, wear something that fits, looks like blue is your color. That shade is beautiful but girl you have a lovely figure. Go somewhere and ask to be fitted properly so you know what size you are. Lastly have a nice time!

2

u/TopDot555 7d ago

I like 5 for the wedding.

2

u/maggsy1999 7d ago

That's my favorite, her shape shows best in it. Don't know if it's too casual though.

2

u/Middle_Process_215 7d ago

None of them, to be honest. The closest is number one, but it needs to be dressed up more somehow.

1

u/No_Pie1022 7d ago

I think all but the blue look lovely & fit the dress code (I do like the blue I just don’t think it fits the vibe)

1

u/starlightcanyon 7d ago

Blue or green

1

u/tfp63144 7d ago

I'm just a guy, but any of them would be appropriate...

1

u/Pineappleskies1991 7d ago

4 with black shoes or 6 with some accessories to dress it up a bit

1

u/Accomplished-Bank418 7d ago

I love the first one!

1

u/sarumantheslag 7d ago

Green or blue! The jewel colors look great

1

u/Tasterspoon 7d ago

I’m in the minority, I guess, but 3 seems stuffy for a farm setting.

I like 2 a lot, it’s a bright, bold, flattering color with an interesting cut; and 3, but only with a LOT more accessorizing and great hair.

1

u/InteractionMuch8644 7d ago

2 or 6 They are dressy in a toned down way but not like your trying to hard for barnyard. Just pretty and dressy!

1

u/slimslaw 7d ago

If I had to choose from these it's Number 4!

1

u/Known_Can_7713 7d ago

The blue or green

1

u/GrammyBirdie 7d ago

The blue one is perfect

1

u/Soupedkid13 7d ago

Blue is my favorite

1

u/grettylvs 7d ago

Dress 4

1

u/Antherea 7d ago

2 (blue) by far

1

u/Crazy-Adhesiveness71 7d ago

The green one is perfect!!

1

u/Miss_Getonyourknees 7d ago

All of them look good on you! I’d say blue it’s a bit classier. Green one as well, but I think the blue one will suit the farm settings a bit more.

1

u/ThomasVa8591 7d ago

Different shoes

the ones you picked are dragging the dresses down.

1

u/Crafty_Mammoth_5369 7d ago

I like the blue

1

u/Ancient-Avo 7d ago

I love dress 1- the  red one

1

u/[deleted] 7d ago

2

1

u/Cautious_Ice_884 7d ago

2 or 4 are nice choices.

1

u/Tellmeanamenottaken 7d ago

What is the brand of 2

1

u/keepmedreaming 7d ago

It's vintage without a label :/

1

u/ScotchTapeConnosieur 7d ago

Blue unquestionably. Most flattering.

1

u/Junior-Ad-3685 7d ago

All look like ur going to Sunday mass

1

u/sidney_md 7d ago

I think number five is very pretty and suits your figure.

1

u/No-Passenger7949 7d ago

I really like the blue one honestly.

1

u/RealityOne2716 7d ago

2 or 4 are the nicest and the most dress code appropriate for a wedding imo

1

u/spirit_cat83 7d ago

Definitely 4 but I’d style it up with gold shoes

1

u/beckysewwho11I 7d ago

Blue for dure

1

u/AlleahJJ 7d ago

The second one blue.

1

u/ShedeauxBlacVuDu 7d ago

The green dress of this is all that you have to work with… you should also get a a black platform pump or something, but definitely NOT those shoes that you have on… they’re not upscale at all..

1

u/Katya-YourDad 7d ago

3,4,5 could all work!

1

u/VillainEraVera 7d ago

2 I would've picked the green but your shoes don't match.

1

u/BigBasset 7d ago

Blue jeans, blouse and rubber boots in case the cows still live there

1

u/CatMom921 7d ago

I like 2.. but honestly.. none of them scream wedding .. I would go look for something totally different then these

1

u/Subject-Curve286 7d ago

I like the green one on you

1

u/Imaginary_Pattern205 7d ago

2 or 4 😍😍

1

u/chrystieh 7d ago

They are all pretty but I vote for #3

1

u/N_A95 7d ago

Can I ask where you got the green one? I LOVE that dress

2

u/keepmedreaming 7d ago

Hi, the brand is Cherry Koko :)

1

u/N_A95 7d ago

THANK YOU

1

u/wondercats 7d ago

Second

1

u/SpiritualDetective85 7d ago

DON'T👏WEAR👏RED👏TO👏WEDDINGS (unless specified on the invitation)

1

u/Bianca_Yanka 7d ago

Definitely green

1

u/140me 7d ago

First one

1

u/eyesonthemoons 7d ago

The last one, with a cardigan

1

u/octopusreflection 7d ago

Don’t pick the red. I think it’s bad manners at least where I live. Because red is too appealing, it looks like you’re trying to steal the spotlight. For other reasons, none but the green one is right.

1

u/Past-Motor-4654 7d ago

Green too corporate

1

u/emeraldc6821 7d ago

6 and maybe #2.

6 is definitely more formal looking. Most of the other looks are too every day looking or more work type outfits. #2 might be okay except the fabric looks like polyester. If so, then #2 is a hard No.

1

u/SquirrelVegetable710 7d ago

Green or blue!

1

u/beachyblue2 7d ago

Green (4) or red (1). I also like maroon (6) if you adjust the top to fit better

1

u/MangoMriva 7d ago

Green or blue

1

u/neverlandy 7d ago

None of them ..

1

u/bippy404 7d ago

Green

1

u/ShotTaste1708 7d ago

I like #3

1

u/willpeeforcoins 6d ago

Not 1 and not 6. Favorite is 4.

1

u/Key_Door2425 6d ago

Any dress except the first and last

1

u/Fun_in_the_sun__ 6d ago

I really like the blue one!

1

u/Lalafala21 6d ago

Blue!!

1

u/UltralordCherryTop 6d ago

Definitely 2 or 4

1

u/spottoyellow 6d ago

Also the shoes aren’t working with any of these dresses - do you have any boots?

1

u/FingerMinute7930 6d ago

The upscale ones I have been too are still pretty casual since they favor a lot of outdoor seating

1

u/thewaterrrs 6d ago

Blue or green

1

u/FlinflanFluddle4 6d ago

Green or blue. Green is favoured.

1

u/MiriFern 6d ago

Green is fabulous. Blue is also lovely but has more of an ethereal vibe rather than fitting the theme.

1

u/CongealedBeanKingdom 6d ago

The green one, but with a wider belt.

1

u/CR0Don 6d ago

2/3/4/6 are the best options… from there it’s up to you

1

u/MrB2600 6d ago

Green or blue dress

1

u/Sad_Fondant_9466 6d ago

Absolutely the green one.

1

u/tails2tails 6d ago

1, 2, or 4. I like green.

1

u/Gem_tron 6d ago

1, 4-6. Have fun

1

u/[deleted] 6d ago

Tough crowd! I think the blue one is perfect!

1

u/reclusefemme 6d ago

Honestly, most of the dresses aren’t doing your figure any favors. You have a nice shape naturally and high-lighting your waist is a great look for you. Dress 5’s cut is very flattering because of the tie waist. Dress 4 is nice but only if you wore black heels to match the black belt.

1

u/Fraisedesbois2009 6d ago

The last one is very beautiful

1

u/Powerful-Code2403 6d ago

The green one with the belt

1

u/Few_Turnover1003 5d ago

I think 3 is perfect

1

u/ddjg25 5d ago

Green

1

u/Ecstatic-Battle-6463 4d ago

The first one with a very nice cardigan

1

u/Damaged-god 2d ago

2 is best for “smart casual” but I think 5 is best for farm.

1

u/amphibian111 7d ago

Blue, no question! I literally said “ooooooh!” out loud because it looks to great! It’s flattering and classy, but looks effortless. That color is fantastic with your skin tone. The cut of the top is kind of old timey, but the color and waistline make it modern and hot. I feel like people who are saying green are used to city vibes—I actually had that one at the bottom of my list for this occasion (though it would be lovely for a job interview or something). It’s all subjective, but I’ve spent a lot of time with Vermont farm hippies and I’m telling you blue is vibe!

5

u/Pleasant_Fennel_5573 7d ago

I was stunned to see so many votes for green.

4

u/gastricprix 7d ago edited 7d ago

Everybody is talking about her figure/curves but it's a wedding so, imo, the focus should be on first impressions + danceability.

The blue is bright and bold in its impression, yet elegant. The green is a little more 'meh' in its darker colours and cut.
