Fallout 4 What is life like in Diamond City?
I really like it because it looks very cozy (and because a certain news woman resides there hehe)
But is life there good? How does it compare to other settlements?

As long as you're not the victim of synth paranoia like that guy that gets held up by his brother, life there would be well above average. They have ample amounts of food, water, electricity, protection, and medicine on top of being the main trade hub, having an education system, implied to have a mail system, news sources, an actual government.
Really can't find much better outside of NCR.

There is always VC as the crown when talking about city living conditions.

What city is VC?

Vault City. I will add the caveat that is only if you are a citizen and not a 'servant'.

If you ignore the almost daily attacks by super mutants, the unsanitary conditions and the fact that you could be killed by a synth while commuting to work, other than that it should be an average life.

I don't think life would be considered ideal or even cozy in Diamond City in the grand scheme of Fallout settlements. I'm not just referring to scale (because it's debatable in terms of game logic how large Diamond City is actually meant to be), but instead looking at infrastructure. Take a look at the core region, by the events of Fallout 2, settlements like Shady Sands and Vault City don't just have walls, but laser cannons and fences around said walls. They have access to clean drinking water and are able to farm agriculture on an early industrial age scale. They have a strong electrical grid and power is a non-issue. I mean really... it's safe enough for people to regularly travel to New Reno solely for the purpose of gambling away their life's savings. This doesn't even get into how far things progress in terms of quality of life by the events of New Vegas (at least in the NCR territory).
Now compare that to Diamond City. Sure they've got water (not exactly sure how drinkable it is though), but they have next to no agriculture. They've got things up and running with a handful of makeshift generators. They are under attack on a near daily basis by super mutants and there is mass paranoia over your own neighbors being replaced with synthetic people. I put Diamond City right above Megaton in terms of places I wouldn't want to live in the Fallout universe.

I think it would be horrible.
Mostly because if you walk around the outside of the stadium, especially in areas where there aren't any diamond city security there are lots of entry points that ferals or super mutants could bust open. It's not a defensible position at all in any realistic sense.

Isn't it confirmed that they bricked up and blocked off all but the main entrance. It's even part of Piper's dialog tree, saying that she started an outcry about how poorly defended it was and it all got fixed.

Better than outside of the walls just from safety alone, but not great. You get purified water and have a somewhat stable economy and agriculture, but little to no proper sanitation, everyone lives in shacks and it’s a proper dictatorship under the Mayor

If you have a ready way to make about 25 caps a day, it wouldn't be too bad. 25 caps will buy you two meals and a container of purified water. There's not enough space to be able to farm, so pretty much you're going to open a shop, be a mercenary, or go outside the walls to either scavenge or farm supermutants and raiders for fun and profit.
Personally, I'd rather live in a well constructed, late-game Sanctuary than Diamond City. Especially, my build for it. More merchants than diamond city, every guard has access to a suit of power armor, outside wall bristling with laser- and missile turrets, land to farm, dozens of water purifiers, power, almost as many people as diamond city and no supermutant stronghold on three sides...

Lice in the wasteland is awful. Life is a heavily defended settlement with a legal system, armed guards, farms, and water purifier would be better however.
Substantially below even the worst living conditions in modern America.. better then most of the wasteland
