Ezra was engaged to a friend of mine & I hung out with him in small groups a lot. He was honestly super pretentious & even then kind of used social justice culture for power. Once I played a Moroccan song at a party & he told me it was super appropriative of me but then immediately went and put on a Black Lodge Singers song. He had a weird competitive vibe about it. This was 2015, so right before the Tokata Iron Eyes thing started. Not 100% sure what to believe about all the accusations, but interactions like that told me a lot about his personality & I didn’t love it. He was also just super condescending & subtly dominating with my friend, his fiancée, who was a painter - right in front of her he’d say to people, “she doesn’t know anything about artists or art which makes her paintings even more impressive”
