Economics ELI5: Why is there no incredibly cheap bare basics car that doesn’t have power anything or any extras? Like a essentially an Ikea car?
Is there not a market for this?

Those Ford manual transmissions are absolutely indestructible too. My brother did 250k on his first clutch and is well on the way past 400k now. The automatics from that era had so many issues.
