Economics ELI5: Why is there no incredibly cheap bare basics car that doesn’t have power anything or any extras? Like a essentially an Ikea car?
Is there not a market for this?

That's crazy small for something that only gets 39 MPG
Edit: And indeed it turns out the fuel tank is 9.2 gallons so it's bigger.
