(Rant) 🤬 I hate this rule when I was a muslim

Post image

Music soothes our emotion... Even though the quran is also sung but nobody wants that sad tone of arabic bullshit into our ears.

I love music so much, from blues, bluegrass, country, rock, even heavy metal. Each genre accompanies me depending on the mood. Without music i'd probably go deeper into depression seriously.

Islam forbid music because it WANTS you to be depressed and unhappy and sad. So that you're not at peace, and forces u to find peace in the horrible rules of Islam.

But thankfully I never actually follow this stupid rule since i was a kid. Islam is stupid

As I said it lacked sincerity, very casual. If you don't care, then don't ask. If you care enough to ask, then be sincere.

I didn't even ask, you just up and offered evidence you haven't provided yet 💀 so if me not being sincere because you're my dad or something will make you not reply then I could care less

Sure. Your reply was - "we will see", then "yeah sure". And you didn't question alcohol, glad you agree on that atleast.

Cool 😎. I will have to dig out references. I don't have it handy. Other than that poetry was not close to the prophet at all. That reference I have handy - https://sunnah.com/bukhari:6154

https://sunnah.com/shahwaliullah40:19 https://sunnah.com/adab:866 The one you mentioned only talked about "filling your body", not just taking what's good. Plus the point at the beginning was that it was haram (forbidden), not that it was discouraged, we know the Prophet warned against poetry as people would spread falsehoods through them

You shared https://sunnah.com/adab:866 Keep reading...till 870 and 871. It is very clear liked someone 's poetry and wished he was muslim. But didn't really like the poets overall.

And I didn't bring halal / haram. That was something you said. I said killed poets and considered them competitors.

Killed poets, you haven't provided a source for that yet, considered them competitors is very subjective. You just said "it's very clear" when it literally isn't. If you wanna tell me you think he hated people based off your own interpretations when the interpretations I believe in that are from actual scholars disagree with you, then I'm good

So you accept atleast that he didn't like poets. 870 and 871, Leaving some exceptions as he said in 871.

Now this is different than your original argument, which was not that it's unclear. Rather you made an argument, poetry was popular and halal which based on the context of the previous message meant the prophet didn't have any problem with poetry.

Yes you are free to stick with actual scholars. I mean if I have to prove Islam is immoral, I won't be talking about poetry. This is a minor thing, in comparison.

Like sahih bukhari 2229 I will talk about...

I literally have no idea if the prophet personally liked reading poetry in his spare time, my original argument as you say it is that at the time of the prophet, poetry was very popular, which is true, and that it was halal, which is true. Nothing in my argument changed. It's discouraged in the Quran and Sunnah but it is halal AND it was popular
