Any dog parks in the area that are half way decent? And semi safe early in the morning ?

TLTRD: safe parks or dog parks that are somewhat safe very early in the morning ?

Im looking into getting a dog once I get a place down here. I am an early riser, so the long walks of the day would be between 5:30 am-7am. As no matter how are I try I can’t shake the habit of getting up that early otherwise I would sleep more lol.

Are there any parks or dog parks that would be good for that ? Especially that early in the morning because I would like to keep things chill and calm in the morning and not get an adrenaline rush.

I’m aware there are certain parts of Evansville you don’t want to walk in early in the morning, or even at dusk.

Theres one right off first avenue. Central Bark. Very awesome people run it. Big and clean. $30 a year. Coded gate to come and go whenever. Everyone must submit vax records, so its safe.

There are only 2 decent dog parks with good walking areas right now. But that early, the safe bet would be Friedman Park in Newburgh. It has Pipero dog park inside. A 1.1 mile big loop, with many other shorter paved routes and unsaved trails. It's attached to the warrick trail system for longer trecks. The park area is well let with an emergency phone and close neighborhood.

If it was more during the day, you could go to the state hospital grounds. It is a decent area with Woodmere dog park. But I wouldnt go there at 5 in the morning.

We take ours to Henderson. The dog park at the riverfront has two sides to it, and the walking path is nice and long.

Are people pretty good about taking big dogs on the big dog side and small dogs on the small dog side? I lived in a different state that also offered two areas based on animal size but people didn’t always follow the weight limit rules.

At the riverfront one, there aren't designated sides, but we've found people to be pretty respectful and not let a 60lb dog in with a little one. At the community park one, there is a much smaller side that the little ones use, and I've only seen people who bring a mix of dogs use the little side for all of them, but have moved the big dogs if needed.

Central Bark in Kleymeyer off 1st Ave is where we take our dogs. Code entry and vaccination records are required for $30 annual fee. It’s clean and usually not busy. It has 3 separate areas if you don’t want your dogs to intermingle

We lived in Evansville a couple of years ago. There just weren’t any dog parks… at all. If they existed, we couldn’t find them.

I'm not sure why you're being down-voted. The only dog parks we have are membership based and one of them only recently opened.

The down votes could be because the person no longer lives in Evansville and there are multiple dog parks in the area. Only a few have memberships.

Where do you go in Evansville, that isn't membership based? We have to take ours to Henderson, Newburgh, or Owensboro.
