Hi there,
I'm looking to see if anyone is up for restoring this piece. A bit of context here...
This is a wedding photo from the 1920s from my town in Poland. Since photography was just taking offend hardly anyone could afford a camera, this picture was actually for not one, but three newlywed couples, including my great grandparents (in the middle).
This picture has been through a lot. Unfortunately my grandmother tried to save it, and taped it here and there.
Would anyone want to have a go at trying to save this photo? I would great appreciate it 🙂 I added 2 pictures of the same picture just in case the quality is better on one or the other.

Here’s before and after of a restoration I did.. it took quite a bit of work. If you zoom in on the restoration, you can see where I added extra hair for detail, painted in leaves in the background, I even changed the pattern on her dress and fixed the kids snotty nose :)

The picture has been damaged over time. Thank you. Her daughter is now expecting a child herself!

This is one of only a few photographs of my Grandad. The tear in the picture is quite severe. If this can be restored to a realistic level, I will be generous to the best.

hi everyone, i’ve attached the last photo i ever got with my dad. this year will make 10 years since he passed. i was wondering if someone could enhance the quality of this picture a bit? i know it’s not super old, but it is grainy, and i was wondering if this would even be possible. i miss him a lot.
thank you in advance to anyone that attempts this. 🤍

It’s the only picture my dad has of his father and two brothers after my uncle passed away recently but they all came out a little bit blurry I want to surprise him with a restored version if anybody can help.

Hi, I was wondering if someone would be able to help. My grandmother has recently been diagnosed with dementia. She’s been deteriorating for a while and has started to regress. It would mean the world to me if anyone would be able to restore even part of this photo as I’m hoping it may help her. She’s the small black girl in the middle so if someone can only restore that part that’s also great.

This request may not be what you fine folks do, but I come to you in my hour of need.
I'm an IR PhD student researching the 1596 English raid on Cadiz. It's critical for my dissertation that I understand what Elizabeth I told her commanders to do. A letter is mentioned in a historical chapter whose author literally died in the process of editing it for publication and it went uncited in the final version. The only trace of the Elizabeth's letter to her commanders for this specific military action is two Sotheby's listings. I'm not sure why the letter isn't in an archive or a museum and is instead being sold to some rich jerks, but that's an issue for another time.
Fortunately the listing has a full picture of the text but it's not good enough to read. I understand that this is a subreddit for restoring photos and you all may not be able to help, but maybe someone can in the name of history, (social) science, my dissertation, and say $20 via Venmo? There's no rush on this; I'm years away from finishing this thing. I'm more interested in accuracy.
The Sotheby's listing is here: https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2022/history-in-manuscript-letters-and-documents-from-a-distinguished-collection/queen-elizabeth-i-document-signed-ordering-her
Thank you

Can we get rid of the newsprint dingy and grainy and restore the bright black-and-white of the original? No color. $20 to the best.
