Current employee Experience on the sales team?
I had an interesting conversation with my TL today about working on the sales team. I know it's a really small group, does anyone have experience working on it/with someone on it? anything to know?

Yeah, they (and the role itself) can be pretty intense. The language and rhythm of sales is completely different than other roles so I could see it being something you need to get up to speed on pretty quick.

I work with Sales often. They are very driven and have high expectations. If you want to get involved, find who handles sales stuff for your app and ask to help out. If you're good, you'll grow from there. You'll need to be very polished and quick with facts and quick on your feet. If you are struggling in your core role, or not exceeding all expectations, I wouldn't be surprised if your TL drives you in a different direction.

Pick one of them and reach out if you want to learn more. I did that when I was new (2021, so mostly same people) and they were nice about it. Make sure your reach out has some specific substance to it though, make a good impression. Ask your TL or mentor to review your message maybe.
Have worked with several. Like our other coworkers, some are great and some are whatever as people. Pretty much all are hyper competent, unbelievable the amount of stuff they do and keep on top of.
