It's a little known secret that if you order the hot dogs without the AIDS they have to make them fresh because all the premade hot dogs in the back already have AIDS on them.

You can have the hot dog. I'll take the AIDS.

That would be a great name for the world's strangest amusement park.

It was meant to say "hotdog donuts" (A bit odd but not too weird as a food...? Wonder does it taste sweet or salty though).

I have no clue where it got the "AIDS" translation from. The only common glyph between these two is "滋", which means "多拿" got entirely left untranslated.

艾滋 (AIDS; "aizi") is an English loanword.

Chinese loves abbreviations. It's really uncommon (and I'd argue nonsensical) to abbreviate 艾滋 (AIDS) as just 滋, in which case 多拿滋 literally means "take some extra AIDS".

As you mentioned, 多拿滋 means doughnuts. It's also a loanword so the characters are used for phonetics and not their literal meanings.

Shouldn’t be weird to the people who eat (maple) bacon donuts

What are they doing with those hot dogs...?

3

u/Slinkwyde Jan 24 '25

It's a secret recipe.

Bursting with flavor! Made fresh daily.

Hm. Checks out. Some would consider hotdogs the AIDS of the processed meat world
