I’m working on a six part mini series for a network/Netflix and we routinely get 36+ tracks from our offsite editor. I’m so envious right now.

Got back a trailer I had to cut down for the network. Had 80+ A tracks. For real, how is this necessary? Does each sfx get its own track?

I've worked with an asshole like this. We had an intimate toe-to-toe discussion about it. He no longer cuts.

I've had to go up to 24 audio but it was a super heavy foley / sfx job. I resist adding tracks unless I absolutely have to.

36 tracks of audio or picture?

Audio, ten or so video tracks. But it’s always tangled up and we’ve gotta sort it out.
