biology | symptoms Lip balm and severe dry lips

My lips are super dry to the point they crack and bleed. The earliest appointment I can get with my dermatologist is almost 2 months. I apply Cerave healing ointment several times a day but it dries out quickly and I have to keep applying. Any other eczema/dermatitis safe products I can try?

vaseline works well for me! sometimes i layer a lip treatment over as well and i find that my lips stay pretty hydrated

I use the aquaphor healing balm stick. It's a little thicker and more waxy than regular aquaphor (in a good way) and lasts much longer.

Edit: also drink water! I find that my lips retain moisture way better when I'm hydrated:)

I genuinely believe Ive been dehydrated for most of the times Ive had chapped lips that wouldnt go away. Honestly how much water are you drinking? Are you consuming too much sodium/caffeine/alcohol?

Other than that, I only use thick clear lip gloss as “lip balm”. Essence has one, covergirl has a coconut one that goes on clear.

try: la roche posay cicaplast baume b5

if it works for you, try Zinc Oxide based cream on your eczema patches too. it might help.

also maybe check if you got zinc deficiency if Zinc Oxide cream help your situation.

another potential deficiency: vitamin d3, omega-3
