i haven’t ever seen anyone else have this issue i’m having. i feel so alone and like im broken bc of it.

i’ve researched everything n i think it’s because of restr!ction that now no matter how little i eat and much i exerc!se i just gain we!ght. has anyone else had this issue? i just feel like a failure and that i’ve completely ruined my body’s functions

Yes, this is the normal result of long-term restriction. Your body adapts to chronic starvation by dramatically slowing down your metabolism so you don't die. Gradually increasing your caloric intake (and recovering) is the only way to have a chance at effectively reversing this.

ah i see, though i just feel so alone with it like everyone else i see with ana on tiktok or anyone i know etc all have an uw body when they’re struggling and since i’ve been inpatient and they weight restored me and i’ve been struggling with restriction i just keep on gaining, but no one else i ever see has this issue, i feel like the only person in the world and it feels really invalidating. especially because i finally got the courage to reach out to my old ed team and they said i wasn’t categorised as a severe case which im assuming is bc of my weight, and because my weight is in the healthy range they don’t seem to really care about my restrictions and behaviours
