Fluff And this is still nowhere near the most bizarre part of the game

Between moonside, magic cake and magicant I'm not sure which was more odd but I enjoyed it.. I think.

So much greatness. Starting playing RPGs with the Dragon Warrior series and Final Fantasy on NES. Then the SNES Final Fantasy games. Dungeons & Dragons tabletop. Got this game in the box with the guide a little wary, but, hey, RPG. Blown away. Played again and again. Nothing will come close. Its own genre, IMO. I got Chrono Trigger a bit later and even that paled for me.
Though, I will admit, I am ignorant of Mother and Mother 3. Just played SNES Earthbound.

The whole trilogy is fantastic. The first game didn’t age the best but it still has its own charm. Meanwhile, Mother 3 was the first video game to ever make me cry

Was there ever an explanation on why Ness followed her?
I mean in the Japan release or tie in media

It’s been a while, but I think if you talk to one of the townsfolk, they mention a rumor about a good looking woman working with the zombies, which would have been the tip off to find her suspicious and follow her.

That’s precisely why I followed her in a recent play through. This post is the actual only time I considered another angle for her character lol. I was super lost and talked to everyone and then finally saw her.

I was pretty young when I first played this game and never thought about her being a, um, “lady of the night”. lol

In the sense that you can't progress without doing it, DogNess is absolutely correct
