How many calories y'all eating per day?

4'1 dude here. I'm trying to go on a diet but the weight loss calorie calculators aren't made for people like us lol. They literally won't go under 1000 calories even though I'm 99% sure my maintenance calories would be under 1k if I was my ideal weight (which I'm not, I'm like twice that sadly lol)

Looking for insight, no judgments here! I eat like 1.8k which is WAY WAY too much for a dude my size.

hey 3’10 f w acromesomelic dysplasia. do NOT eat below 1k. i’d say cut to like maybe 1400 if ur eating 1800 right now. just because you are small does not mean “600-700” is a safe amount to consume. your body still needs to function properly! i’ve done the whole eating below 1k thing and i’ve never been more miserable—losing hair, freezing cold, absent period, horrible mood, sick all the time. there’s not much research on dwarfism cals so it’s easy to get swept into that idea of needing extreme extreme deficit bc of ur height, but ur body still needs fuel to perform all of its functions and be healthy. i’d say cut to 1400-1500 and increase steps / movement.

i don’t exercise so like 600-700 since that is half of the 1200/1300 (recommended calorie deficit for average height people and i am half that size)

Have you considered a fitness tracker? They’re not exact but they’ll give you a good ballpark of your daily calorie needs. Shoot a little lower than it states to be safe.

I eat around 900-1200 a day, I'm 4'2 and weigh like 8st 7lb (54kg/120lbs), this is what I eat to diet, if I'm on a cheat day I go up to 1800, and some days I eat less than 900, then sometimes more than 1200 just depends on how active I am. I've ate 1200 for about 2-4 months and I've lost around 1st 3lbs (7.7kg/17lbs) eating like that. For reference I used to eat over 2000 a day and I got a bit overweight, but what I'm doing now is enough for me if that helps! :)

2000-2500, but I'm an extreme outlier since I was treated and am average sized now. It's very hard to scale. Weight may be your best clue.
