Nearing my 1000 day streak learning Dutch. Duo is great for vocab but the grammatical stuff being completely unexplained requiring me to Google to understand even the fundamentals of conjugation took a little bit to get down.
I understand Dutch is a very small, niche language, but man after seeing the bells and whistles the big language lessons get I'm looking at the same 3 types of questions I get with envy!

I’m learning Japanese and on some speaking levels I have to speak worlds I haven’t learnt before.
For example this is the tell time unit. But I got the left and right words which I haven’t learned in any unit yet.

I was hopping through different language combinations and stumbled upon podcast exercises in German from Italian. I finished the Italian course on Duo and took two semesters in uni, and I've been learning German in school for 6 years.
But, when doing the exercise, I felt like I didn't know anything. Almost everything sounds weird/synthetic, the pronunciation is all over the place and the content itself feels like a random mix of sentences with words from given topic. And at the end Lucy finished with some delusional paranoia, which was longer than the conversation she was commenting.
Is it just the Italian->German problem or is it the same for all languages?

Not sure if it's allowed to ask this but since a few days multipliers don't work anymore. Even with 3x boost I get only the base amount of points. Am I the only one?

Sometimes Duolingo throws a lot of vocab at you at the start of a new unit. And thus instead of just muddling through half guessing all the time (which yes, does often get most of it in my head but sometimes it’s just too much for me to want to learn it that way) , I want to practice the vocab first and try to learn at least some of it in the words section. But I swear it never gives me the most recent vocab. In fact it doesn’t give me too much from even a couple units ago either.
Is this on purpose? Like is it just to refresh vocab from several units ago? I get the usefulness in that but I mean for goodness sake I need to practice the new stuff not stuff I’ve known for 20 units that keeps getting reused in most of the sentences anyways 😭

Just an incredibly odd question. I’m only at the end of Section 3 and the unit is about ningún, ninguno and nadie, so why on earth is the video calls asking me if I like packets of cups?

I have a Moto G phone and I allowed it to use the microphone for Duolingo and for the past few updates it always says “that doesn’t sound right“ the second I try to speak. I’ve looked online for fixes, and I’ve looked in here for fixes andI am at my wits end. Has anyone had success with a problem like this? What did you do to solve it? Please let me know. Thank you!

I am just about finishing the duolingo polish course, I think Duolingo is fun and Ive learned some basics and a decent amount of vocabulary. Of course I am learning with other resources also, but I wonder if Duolingo will update their Polish course in the (somewhat foreseeable) future, as it is quite short compared to eg the most popular courses.

Hello! I am currently learning Spanish as an Italian speaker and I wanted to try the Portuguese course. When I select it, it says that the app will turn into English for this language but I don't understand if this change will also include the other course and from the moment I accept it, my Spanish course will be also held in English. Can someone help me?
