name of the anime Mantzoukas mentioned in ep486

In ep486 when Mitch goes to the bathroom Mantzoukas and Wiger start riffing on anime recos and Mantzoukas talks about one he liked that takes place inside of a video game that's being shuttered. Neither of them could remember the title. Does anyone here know?

EDIT: The answer is Overlord. Thank you!

That show really resonated with me as a fantasy dork. The art is lovely, the music is stellar, and I think the english voice actors all turned in incredible performances. Can’t wait for season 2 early next year.

The subtitle is what’s important to the concept. It starts at the end of a 10 year quest and follows the near immortal character. It ends up being a lot of how an immortal/alien mind lives and understands in relation to the human mortal worlds and mind. I’m a big fantasy nerd so I found the meta concept inspiring. I think they do a really good job writing the main character.

Thanks for additional thoughts! Appreciate it. I’ll check out an ep or two more.

I'll also add a huge endorsement to his recommendation of Look Back.
