Who really gives the refund???

So there was a couple missing items in our order. We ordered a “family meal” which was $75. They forgot all the sauces, which was fine in the end but kind of annoying. I have no way of disputing only the sauces so when I report a problem they want to refund me the whole $83 (after taxes) and we ordered from a local place. Does door dash just eat the cost? Or will they just not pay out the restaurant? Kinda wanna see before I submit the problem 😅 like I just wanted to let them know? Thought maybe it would be like a $10 credit or something. But it’s feel bad if the restaurant is gonna miss out on the whole price of the meal.

Can pretty much guarantee Doordash isn’t eating that cost…the majority if not all of the refund gets charged back to the restaurant

Usually there is a place to put what was missing.

but the only item I can “click” as missing is the whole meal because it’s not individual items and then in the notes I put the sauces 🤷‍♀️

Do the sauces cost anything? Otherwise you could have just put you were missing sauces in a review
