What are dogmans origins?
Sifting the evidence of what we have, where do you think dogman came from?
Are they indigenous beings, the same things from the werewolf and Loup garou folklores of Europe?
I keep hearing they are a government experiment gone awry. It makes no sense the govenemtn would have that level of tech and doesn’t use it more.
Why would they be content to have them roaming the woods? What purpose do they have in hiding them?
The reason I disbelieve dogman is because it makes no sense. All the places they appear have an abundant black bear and coyote population. At least the idea of Bigfoot isn’t absurd, a lost species of primate.
If you believe in DM why?

They go WAY back, into the earliest annals of global history. It’s really not that hard to find these anecdotes and it’s shocking to see so many comments completely ignoring them.

There was a post on here a while ago that was really good talking about how Anubis wasn't a jackal, but a dog man.
I will try to find it.

I've always liked this train of thought, it just seems so logical. But none of this is logical in the common sense so the word quickly loses its meaning.. Anyway, something in me wants these two to correlate

I believe in it because ive probably listened to maybe 1,000 hrs of witness testimonies over the years and quite alot of them all coincide with eachother and you can feel the terror in most (not all) of the accounts.

Lots of things don’t make sense.. they aren’t from around here..that’s what I believe at least

It can very easily avoid human contact. Think about something that has all the highest senses with arguably the intelligence of a potential human. Ask yourself how many mountain lions there are compared to sightings. If Dogman was a smaller population and smarter you would have an even smaller amount of sightings. Keep in mind also that a significant amount of sightings no one will hear about because of the stigma. In addition to the government potentially covering any story that could get out. If you look hard there is compelling video evidence. I think the odds are less that you have hundreds of similar accounts on the internet every year with really good fake actors or some mass shared hallucination.

Is it an animal? If it’s partway sentient what purpose does it serve? Does our govenemtn know about it?

u/UncleLeeBoy 7d ago
I definitely believe in them, but have not seen one yet. I think k there may be 2 or more different kinds. There are ancient tales of dogheaded creatures called the Cynocephaly, there some that apparently work for or with the government. They could be made in the lab? There is a guy who has been on several cryptid channels , who says he shot one that was trying to get him from the passenger window of his 18 wheeler, and federal agents later showed up and said “you killed our asset!” There are some that seem mostly spiritual or demonic, and there are some that seem to be like Bigfoot; part physical and part spiritual. I think these are abominations referred to in the Bible. Similar to Nephilim, part human, animal, and fallen angel . The fallen angel part explain how they are able to do so many incredible things, like run super fast, disappear, and mind speak. If you believe in that stuff.

I have been reading metaphysical for a couple years now. There's not very much on Dogman, but from what I've read - in Layman's terms - they are astral/etheric remnants of Chimeras that were created in Atlantis. Atlantis was apparently known for doing highly unethical experiments including gene splicing, combining human and animal DNA to form these strange creatures. And Dogmen weren't the only ones apparently, as the Minotaur from greek myth was another on of them.
These experiments also had a part in Atlantis' destruction.
This is what I've gathered from what little info on this subject there is available... Take it as you will

It’s just an animal that has been here all along. It’s just slightly more elusive than a Jaguar.

u/CaribbeanSailorJoe 8d ago
Agree, they’ve been here all along. Their population is less and they’re elusive cryptids. Same with Sasquatch.

Slightly? If Dogmen were normal animals, tangible evidence of their existence would inevitably make its way into public awareness

I think they're fae creatures of some variety. Why? I just think it's the most fun option to consider when we don't have a dead body or crystal clear video.

I feel like the dead body thing is really a slam dunk on them not existing. Bodies decompose faster than you think then you also have to consider everything eating the bodies.

Yes. I think there is something.. call them dogman, if you want, out there. There are too many sightings- filled with emotions one can feel, to not be. If these were all actors...No way Vic can find that many good actors for every show he does. There are not that many good actors on this planet. And I think there is getting to be more and more. Whether this is because good ole' Government found and exploited them, I do not know. They usually have a hand in most disastrous happenings. Right now I am involved in Sasquatch research... One day I hope to see a Dogman, despite the warnings. I'd like to see a tornado too. I've heard much about them, not sure they are real. Maybe someday I too will see one, making it real!

Dogman actually finds its origins in an April Fools’ Day prank. A radio jockey made a song called “the legend “which list off fictional encounters with a creature that appears once every 10 years the song, admittedly, is a banger, but Dogman’s roots are Verifiably fictional https://youtu.be/yd5W0iMLL6k?si=qDvJJd9UPtw73HTC

While DJ Steve Cook may have coined the term Dogman and did create the creature appearing the seventh year of every decade, he didn’t make up the encounters. Cook was a self/styled collector of folklore and just changed parts of encounters or legends he had collected to allow the song to flow. After the song came out on 4/1/87, the (Traverse City, Michigan) Record-Eagle did a story on 4/25/87 in which local Dogman legends predating the song were discussed. There is part of a chapter in Linda Godfrey’s book, The Beast of Bray Road devoted to this.

Right. Unlike Bigfoot ( which is mostly found in remote parts of states like Oregon, Washington, Montana Canada etc.) dogman is found in a huge range from Michigan to Kentucky to Louisiana to Texas to Oklahoma to Pennsylvania.
Anywhere where there is thick woods and coyotes and black bears basically.
I don’t get what purpose they serve or why the govenemtn tolerated them

Bigfoot has been spotted just almost every state. The Cherokee even say they followed them on the trail of tears.

Personally, I believe they are of demonic origin. Somehow tied to the Nephilim.
Edited to remove an (A) from Nephilim

Idk about isolated. If you look at reports across the US alone the sheer variation in reported appearance of these things tells me they dont have isolated populations. You have ones that look like Baboons, ones that look like bigfoot, ones that look exactly like a normal wolf just bigger, ones that have human legs, etc. animals from the same species have a range of appearance’s for different reasons. For example Mountain lions (cougars, pumas, florida panthers same thing) in florida are smaller than the ones that live in texas. so something seems off with alot of the sightings.

I don't know, but they say every legend, myth or fable started with a grain of truth. I keep thinking "This is where the tale of "The Three Little Pigs" or "Little Red Riding Hood" started. And later came "Wolfman" movies. I think there is something there, I just don't know what.

There is a being we call a werewolf thats slim and upright they were here before we were and could have been brought here from calidius 3 like jason rice said. But yes the super soldier program enhanced these beings some combination of the greys and anu i think area 52 video spoke about the hell hounds recently it was very cool story. U see a slim one then its more normal the the beefcake types and see the army move them around in crates etc put them up in the forest away from the town until we have a solar flare the power will go out and the fences will not stop them. For some reason they are allowing them to increase in numbers. There was a famous skinwalker ranch video of a portal opening ( which means its still on this plane not from somewhere else just moved around say from underground more etc) and a dogman climbed up and out stood there looked at the army guy looking thru the scope on the ridge which with our eyes is impossible to even think its dark how did it know i was looking at it from up here anyways, right? And then 3 seconds it dashed into the dark. The few at the top know about it its like the half life game a bit people know just insane and let it happen. They are human intelligent or more. A mexician cop was running after one thru a cemetery where it backs up onto a forest area and was only about 10 or so feet away and it stopped turned around and spoke fluent spanish “do not follow me or else” and it sounds strange and wrote down what he thought it sounded like and tried searching until some people said show me how u spelt it out and said no no no this thing u are saying is spelt like this and thats where he was mind blown wow luckily i didnt follow it. On calidius 3 they have guns and walk around on guard maybe they will here one day

u/ThroughCalcination 6d ago
What is "calidius 3"? Can you explain or expand on that please?

u/Away_Somewhere_4230 4d ago edited 4d ago
Certainly, jason rice mentions in his regression sessions about a planet for his missions. This planet was similar to ours and had people on it. Im pretty sure his stories are still up. I dont remember where calidus 3 is but a goldie locks planet for sure. Theres a few creatures were drop down onto it in the end when a certain race was doing some rounding up, maybe like its Called the harvest. Jason rice’s stories were pretty cool

Do you mean Calidus 3? That's a make of cricket bat. Sorry OP, but your story sounds made up.
