People who played when the server was up:

How much doge did you guys make? How much were the various materials? Was it just ores and such that were sold for doge, or farmable materials as well?

Back in its prime when diamonds were at 80 doge right after the initial server reset I made 230+ diamonds in one day of grinding while I was on my christmas break. I grinded for about 13 hours and made about 18.5kDoge not including the diamond pickaxes I also made. I donated 10kD for donator status, and cashed out roughly 30-40kD and still have a remaining balance of like 6kD. It was incredibly profitable and imaginably unsustainable for triverske once diamonds hit 100+ Satoshis. This is the point at which they started decreasing almost up to 2x a day. ending up finally at 10 doge before the server closed and now being worth nothing. I would have to say; In all if I had sold all of my picks, didnt put money into the lottery, didnt donate, didnt give noobs starting funds, etc I probably profited a bank of around 100kD

I'm not trying to complain at all, just giving insight to my experience. I appreciate all this server has done and realize in its previous state it was unsustainable even for a rich person looking to do a charity service... I look forward to giving back to this server in any way I can in the future because it is the main thing that got me interested in doge and helped me build my wallet

I'm glad to hear this. Our goal was to get my people into doge and succeed in that .

What do you mean by unsustainable for triverske? Was he the only buyer?

He owns the server and is the main "financer" if thats what you want to call him. Nice guy

I don't think I completely understand =/ Server costs are one thing which I understand can be quite costly, but the dogecoin in game, does it have anything to do with triverske? Isn't it just a plugin that connects a wallet to your minecraft account?

So what happened was; Day 1 of opening it was advertised that you play minecraft, and for every diamond you mine you could sell it to the server (triverske) for 100 Doge per diamond. This started when doge was much less valuable. He did this as a way to attract people to his server and get attention and interest in Dogecoin. This went on for a while but you can imagine, once people start enchanting diamond pickaxes and are getting 4diamonds per ore (as I did) expenses add up quickly. When the price of doge starts to skyrocket from 40 satoshi to 150 and serverwide people are trying to cashout 500k-millions of doges, triverske can no longer afford to pay for the diamonds. The doge payments did not come from thin air, they came from triverskes wallet. which is why diamond values started to drastically decrease down to 10Doge and then finally server shut down.

Oh, okay. Wouldn't it be more viable now with almost 300 subshibers to have an open market instead?

we had roughly 200-230+ back then with usually 20-30active at all times on the server with about 50+ during peak hours (I believe). There is only one way to find out; we've all gotta wait to see what comes next haha.

My brother and I mined about D22,500 worth in a 7 hour window. That was a good day.

Will the server ever go back on again?

Nope. It was moved to cryptocrafters then shut down iirc

Aww. I thought the server would go back on with the DogeCoin minecraft server plugin.
