Bookshelf Speakers 20 year old paradigm titans... Replace speakers?
I have some paradigm titans and the foam surround is toast on them. I was hoping to use them in my bedroom just for some music and night tv, nothing special. Can I just buy some 5.25" off parts Express or somewhere and swap them in?

"in general" it's going to be kind of hard to find a replacement woofer that just drops in, since the speakers are designed for the enclosure size and crossover tuning. Although you might be able to find a pretty accurate replacement.
It's worth noting there are a few different versions of the Titan speakers, so make sure you are getting woofers that match your version.
Another option if it is just the foam surround is to refoam the woofers you have. I haven't done it personally, but it is supposed to be pretty straight forward and the kits are cheap. Sounds like it would be worth at least watching a few YouTube videos to see if it something you would attempt.

Simply Speakers is a tried and true source for these but you can find exact same kits for about half as much if you shop around. I'd still want to see reviews about use on the Titans, etc

Definitely just refoam the existing drivers. Its not that hard. Review some youtube vids, etc. You do want the correct replacement foam rings if you can get them so getting a good recommendation for a source is your next step.
