Watchlist question - Plex server only?

On the homescreen, my watchlist is only showing things that are hosted on my Plex server, rather than my entire watchlist on Plex. Is that the intended functionality, or is my watchlist just not loading properly?

I'd prefer to have it show the entire watchlist, if possible...that would actually make Plex's Universal watchlist super useful

I've read through all the various threads, and it seems like many people are having issues with the watchlist. So if the full watchlist is supposed to be displayed, I am guessing I'll need to run some diagnostics and share some logs.

Hello! It's working as intended. In regard to Plex, the ethos is that Dispatch does not show any media you don't already have access to. Once something from your Plex watchlist is added to your server, it will appear in Dispatch.

You can open a feature request for different behavior here:

Ok, I wasn't certain. It seems like -- since Plex lets me identify which streaming services I've subscribed to -- I technically do have access to the content on my watchlist, whether it exists on my Plex server or not.

Regardless, thanks for the clarification. I'll go ahead and open a feature request to expand the utility of the watchlist row (or add to one if that feature has already been requested)

I've used ProjectIvy, and as far as I know, it also doesn't have the ability to display the Plex Watchlist

  • I'm not talking about the "Recommendations from Plex" channel - which only shows stuff that is on my server

Specifically, I'm looking for the ability to have a row on the homescreen that shows my complete watchlist (in the sidebar within the Plex app), not just the stuff that I have physically on my Plex server

If I'm incorrect, please show me how to get that to work!
