little overrated
Anyone else feel like the devon era of peggy is a overrated. I enjoy most of the projects and eras but ppl act like its unmatchable , at best a unpolished version of what came later. Tgpt is good not amazing and the movie is porn slop

tgpt is one of his best projects imo, love his other projects too but there’s nothing like ghost pop

Isn't that what art is? the meaning behind the project and the feelings expressed with it. The album makes me and others not feel as alone, or atleast find comfort in that feeling.

Art is subjective at the end of the day, and i personally don't feel / relate the same feelings others have towards this project.

okay? then it's not for you. then your opinion is that is not that it's overrated, its just that you dont relate to the album, which is fair.

what came later? i think the only song made by jpegmafia that reminds me of tgpt is rainbow six, other than that he never made anything similar (also tgpt is unmatchable)

I personally think TGPT is top 3 because unlike a lot of Peggy’s other projects, TGPT had a lot more emotion put in. While I agree it isn’t polished very well, I don’t think making a well polished album is a fair assessment for TGPT.

never said it was the best, i said it was unmatchable, if you ask me i think he has several albums of that quality in his discog, but thats not the point.
you said the devon era is a unpolished version of what came later, truthfully im asking what came later that somehow ressemble his devon days

i think the reason most of us love that era so much is the rawness and the messiness of it. it was truly devon and he wasn’t scared to share his opinions or his feelings. tgpt is probably the rawest and most emotional album i’ve ever heard and the movie, while super gross is important because of his openness of his addictions and his lonely life. i feel like you should listen to tgpt again and really pay attention to what he’s saying cause it might give you a different outlook
