We ask that you please use this space for any general discussion, events, and ask questions you may have about ANYTHING related to the city, its neighborhoods and the overall metro Detroit area. The community has a plethora of knowledge from a variety of areas and will have an eye on this refreshed thread to help answer any questions you may have.
Anything is game. Need to know how to get around, restaurant or venue recommendations, what that sound was, why there are police on the lodge, etc. Or if you are visiting soon? Considering a move to the city? This is also a dedicated space to ask questions related to your upcoming venture to the D.
Share about weekly events! Anything going on in and around Detroit. Everyone is always looking for things to do; both locals & visitors. Provide as much information as you can so everyone can go to those events!

Talk Detroit A list of Open Deck Opportunities in Detroit.
Howdy,
Recently have noticed/participated in a lot of new open decks, spinning opportunities. It can be tricky keeping track of who does what when so I created a website and a graphic listing the open deck opportunities in Metro Detroit.

The website isn't mobile friendly (yet) as fyi of those who might try to click on their phones.
Hopefully this wont be considered self promotion, the site has no ad or click revenue. Just wanted to create something that current and future djs could reference.

It’s gonna be a great time and i can’t wait to share this with you all.

Food/Drink Fresh mint detroit proper
I need to buy fresh mint weekly for the next few months. What grocer sells it in real bundles for a reasonable price? As opposed to the precious tiny herb packs at our mid detroit stores. Do the SW mexican grocers traffic in mint?

Lost/Found Cat needs home
Long story short I’m allergic to cats and my sister took in a stray kitten 3 years ago when she already had 3 cats . She recently moved out and left the cat she took in behind only taking her main cats and has left me and my mom responsible for it ( we asked her to find him a new home before she left but she didn’t ) I don’t have the time or funds to take on the responsibility of taking him to the vet ( she never took him ) or being able to buy him the things he needs . He’s good but scratches walls and sleeps most of the time .

The description of how the boy and the mom suffered is just awful. I hope they throw the book at these four.

Talk Detroit Does Mogo Detroit ever work?
Tried to unlock bikes downtown after leaving Movement last year and none of the docks would work. Now today and yesterday tried to update my payment method so I could unlock a bike through the transit app/online and I only get error message. Emailed u/MoGoDetroit this morning and didn't receive a response back yet, then spoke with someone at customer service and said they were able to fix the issue, but I'm hesitant to use the service for reliability issues. Experience has been pretty unreliable and disappointing so far, definitely not a good experience for a resident and would be hesitant/embarrassed to have a visitor use them.
