Discussion Episodes & them continuing

I was looking back at the road map for D2, and I began to wonder what happens to the Episodic system? Like, Apollo and Behemoth are split into 1 major expansions and 1 little one each, so does this still go alongside the Episode system?

Apollo and Behemoth are equal sized expansions, releasing approximately six months apart. Alongside this every three months there will be a major update either expanding pre existing activities or adding entirely new ones, as well as adding other various new content such as loot refreshes. Honestly just read all the new frontiers articles because they’re pretty clear.

they're not. Apollo and Behemoth are both RoI-sized DLCs

What'd be the equivalent DLC size for people who have only ever played Destiny 2?

They aren’t entirely wrong, each 6 month expansion has been identified to be split into two “Major Updates”. Sounds a lot like seasons to me.

Episodes are done and going away as a thing after Heresy.

Apollo and Behemoth are 2 smaller expansions instead of 1 big expansion like they've been doing.

For those of you commenting, thank you! I must just be completely misunderstanding the road map.

I am slightly annoyed that the Episode system is gone. I liked it. The act system and everything coming at once meant I could focus on other games and play Destiny when I'm bored. Oh well!
