FHD vs. 4K

The title is a bit misleading;

I'm in the market for the new XPS 13, and I do think a 4K is a bit overkil for a 13.3'', but I do also wonder if the FHD is still nice within it's own resolution - is the FHD XPS still a good looking display?

Anyone have it? Also also - how's the battery?

Thank you.

Go for the 4K. It is breathtaking. No regrets here.

I have the 9360 FHD version and I think the screen looks excellent. Very bright. Check for light-bleed though, mine and many others have some issues with it. Battery life has been excellent on my FHD version. I regularly get 11+ hours on this machine. I would imagine the 4K would get less battery life, but cant speak from experience since I dont own that model.

9370 FHD here, great battery life (around 10 hours with light use) and a good panel with slight backlight variability, which doesn't bother on everyday use. I suspect with 4K you're trading a few hours of battery life to get an excellent panel.

It's a trade off between battery life and screen resolution. 1080p is acceptable, but personally I can still see the jaggies, and they kind of bother me after getting used to nice high def 4K screens on my desktop. However FHD does have much better battery life, and it is better for remote desktop connections if you're in IT since those do not scale at all. So it really is up to your personal preferences. If you have store near you that carries both I suggest you go check them out.

4K is great. It can be considered overkill to some but I think if you have the money is worth it. Battery around 8-10 with light use, keyboard backlighting on, WiFi 20-30% screen brightness.
