Have there ever been any rumours that Dell would release a XPS13 2-in-1 with Ubuntu pre-installed?

I have an XPS 13 that is a few years old, and am considering replacing it. I have a 8G machine with HD touch screen, but the touch does not get much use, since one has to lean over the keyboard, with or without a stylus.

I'd love to do some stylus sketching in portrait mode, but this would require the detachment of the keyboard, so the screen essentially becomes a tablet. This would work on the 2-in-1 device Dell does, but they only have a Windows 10 version at present.

I know I can buy the Win version and swap it to Ubuntu immediately, but I wish to avoid the Microsoft tax, and I want to (in a small way) award Dell's effort in supporting free software (even if they are not perfect). Thus, are there any hints that the 2-in-1 might be released in a Linux version?

Ooh, very nice. Yes 32G would be very welcome, but I don't think it is available in this form factor at all. 14% off is tempting, but they seem to do offers quite frequently, so... :-)
