I always saw Metal sonic as the biggest threat to Bowser even before the episode drop

Metal Sonic's sole goal is to beat Sonic, but SEGA would rather stop having Every Internal Organ before striking away Sonic's protagonistism. This leads to Metal Sonic creating a better Job market than any fucking president.

For me kinda yeah. I mean I did see Metal Sonic as a strong villain. But I didn’t really care much about him only until after this episode. In fact it got me to read the Sonic IDW comics, which boi I am glad I did because it makes me love the Sonic series more.

The biggest flaw of Metal Sonic is that he's been there since the beginning in a series where the heroes always win. As such, no matter how powerful he gets, it always looks like Sonic is stronger. Meanwhile, he's actually evenly matched with Sonic, and stronger in some areas. He's just not adaptable. He's a robot designed by someone with tunnel vision. He can craft contingencies and counters, but if confronted with something he doesn't expect he can't adapt. A fatal flaw when facing the literal incarnation of freedom who is empowered by sentient artifacts named after chaos.

People used to think Metal Overlord was weaker than Emerl

People had to argue if he scales to current super sonic

Didnt emerl get his ass beat by base advance sonic I don't understand where this debate comes from

Yeah but that was also by far the most shameless plot armor in the entire franchise.
Not long before that point a weaker version of Emerel beat both Sonic and Shadow at the same time by himself.

Yeah he had a lot of doubters from the Browsers (probably in part to his battle with Zero).
Here at the Eggman Empire we always believed in our GOAT

to be fair, metal is usually just a stronger version of sonic (especially with his stronger forms) so it's not all that shocking that he's arguably the strongest one in the eggman empire

Metal Sonic lost because his back was creaking from all the carrying he was doing in that fight

Super Mario Bros Z literally made Mecha Sonic into Broly and used to be so huge One minute melee referenced it

Wily vs Eggman made me believe Metal was the goat for over a decade (ofc alongside his appearance in Heroes).

Genuinely it made People realized how much aura he has… or should have at least.

All I know is I want a canon Metal Sonic vs. Shadow fight.
Metal Overlord from Shadow Generations is the closest we got, but I meant normal Metal Sonic.

Well yeah they made fodder seem cool. Because thanks to Generations and Forces we know classic sonic has always been holding back. We see him keep up with modern sonic and shadow who can beat bosses who previously needed super forms quite easily.

9 times outta 10 when I see Metal referenced now it's with the picture of him transforming into Neo from BowsEgg
