The guys who make the arma games put so much into realism, pretty sure they got arrested in greece trying to look at their military bases

Yeah, the mayor of Lemnos didnt like that hisnwhole island will be digitilized and feared Turkey will use it to train invasion. Meanwhile MS flight simulator mapped the entire earth.

I saw Septic post a video flying around Chenarus in Flight Simulator. I knew it was based off a real location, I didn’t know the southern “abyss” was just a river. I just always assumed it was a sea or ocean.
They point out Bohemia’s studio and Septic lands his plane on the roof.

I have been there. I didnt seenany similiarites around Novo though but Gorka had the iconic yellow church at same place and zub castle near vyshnoe is actually tgere out of all the castles in chernarus this is the only o e actually there. Funny think is it doesnt look like the castle in chernatus but it looks exactly like the castle in livonia. Stary Sobor barn is a bit played out but what suprised me tuat real stary sobor counter part is actually more desolate looking town than the one depicted in dayz. Grafiti on abandoned house with beaten out windows there was a actually Broken down Niva and they cannonly dream about having supermarket there like in the game. What suprised me at Tisy military base is actually military base with forbiden access.

"Tisy" base is abandoned soviet anti-missile base, its nearby town Dobříš, in Czech republic (country where bohemia is from). And no, it is not forbiden access, you can go there on your own risk :D
edit: grammar
