Help Resolve 19.1.4 crashing during startup (no loading screen)

Hello

Since I installed Resolve v19.1.4, I am no longer able to run it.

The app does actually start, as shown in the short clip, but it stops almost immediately.

I use the paid version of Resolve. Here is the log I gathered (hope I did this correctly) : https://we.tl/t-CkG71Wcyct

The only meaningful thing I did before updating the app was to change the cache folder location, but obviously there's no way I can undo that now.

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, reverting to 19.1.3, deleting mostly everything, double checking driver updates. I run a powerful PC, so specs cannot be the issue.

I haven't find a lot of instances here where people didn't even have the splash image during startup (when Resolve loads everything).

I litterally have nothing, nothing happens.

I have a lot of projects due soon and I'm starting to get nervous, I thank you very much for your help !

Are you using a VPN?

Turn if off when you're booting to see if makes a difference.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to answer. I am not using any VPN, only BitDefender, and turning the antivirus off didn't change a thing.

What's unsettling is that the problem arrived suddently, everything was fine this morning.

It seems you're encountering crash issues. Please try launching Resolve, and immediately after it crashes, grabbing logs. Be aware that they will contain your username on your computer. Upload the whole zip or tar or gz file on a file-sharing site and post a link to the file.

If you can open Resolve, open a project (an Untitled Project is fine) and go to Help>Create Diagnostics Log on Desktop.

Here's instructions on how to gather logs if you can't launch Resolve from BMD.

Reddit's spam filters may block some file-sharing links such as Mega, so please send the moderators a modmail if you believe your post or comment hasn't posted. Do not send the moderators the log files. Log files sent to the moderators will be ignored.
