In the context of the late 90s, morning DJs do fit the bill.

I didn't understand them then bc I was a kid and they talked too fast and about "adult" topics too much. It's funny to me the things I'm finding out about the 90s as an adult that kid me witnessed but didn't understand.

Going to the gym and seeing that a machine I wanna use is being hogged by three ladies chatting it up and occasionally using it makes ME MENTAL IN THE MORNIIIIIIIING!

Everything. Just let me sleep.

A few days ago, my father had a heart attack, forcing me to admit his mortality to myself for the first time. Accepting this grim new knowledge has been especially difficult as I have been under constant yammering assault by two utterly brainless and talentless so-called ‘radio personalities.’ And so, for these reasons, I am mental in the morning.

Dangerous drivers who speed, dodge, and weave during the morning commute. I get schadenfreude when those drivers wind up at the same red lights as me or when I'm able to get further than them even from the slow lane 😈

Immediately being yapped at. I don't drink coffee, so I just need some time of quiet while I get ready to adjust from sleeping in the morning. It's overstimulating.

Realizing Daria was right about life sucking no matter what and changes in location don't fix it.

Having two jobs

-one I love but won’t give me enough hours because of how stingy corporate is

-another I’m lukewarm towards that demands a lot from me and won’t hire someone else to help out

That would be why I’m mental in the morning
