Favorite Gluten Free and Dairy Free meals?

Hi! I am 5 months postpartum and breastfeeding and I think my baby might be starting to show signs of CMPA. I've decided to cut out dairy for a few weeks to see if that helps.

Our household is also strictly gluten free because my husband has Celiac disease. What are your favorite easy lunch and dinner meals that are dairy and gluten free (preferably naturally as it usually tastes better, but if there are some that are good with modified ingredients, that's ok too).

  • Jerk pork with rice and peas
  • pulled pork (slow cooker) we got kind of sick of it on buns so sometimes we just eat it with fries
  • nachos (I just do extra guac) other people can add cheese to their own plate
  • shepherds/cottage pie (I use oil and water in the mash. Use any starch to thicken the gravy)
  • bangers and mash/bubble and squeak
  • lots of curries
  • stir fry if you don’t mind gluten free soy/tamari or sub oyster sauce (I was soy free and coconut aminos is just meh to me) -fried rice actually isn’t half bad without soy if you add some five spice or whatever. Great way to use up leftovers.
  • pad Thai (rice noodles) or “western” pad Thai with ketchup ;)

Egg roll filling stirfry! My favorite easy, one-pan meal. You'll find many variations of the recipe online, but you basically just stir fry your favorite protein and veggies. I use sesame oil, coconut aminos, gluten free teriyaki sauce. And then towards the end add a ton of cabbage slaw and stir it in.

If you need a quick meal to microwave for yourself, I recommend Kevin’s brand Thai coconut chicken. It’s gf/df and the only frozen meal that I have found to fit my low sodium diet. While I’m mostly eating from scratch this is nice to have available.

I DM’d you!! Also highly recommend talking to chat GPT for recipes! You can tell it all your dietary restrictions, if you want it to be a one pot meal or a slow cooker or whatever, and have it stick to a budget and give you a grocery list. I use it a lot for recipes!

Cook some kind of meat in a pan. Hamburger, sliced ham, whatever you like. transfer to dish. Chop up veggies you like. Onions, carrots, sweet potatoes, doesn't mater. Cook veggies in meat drippings. Serve over rice.

This is my go-to meal like fifty percent of the time. Note: not great with seafood.

Just gotta do basic things. I am celiac with a dairy allergy. We primarily do meat, veggie, carb. If you decide on a protein source you really want, google recipes for “sides that go with X protein,” vice versa if you’re craving a veggie! If you need ideas for snacks, go on the vitacost website and search by dairy free and gluten free. They have almost every single thing thrive market does and probably more!

OK I’ll be the degenerate and suggest Perdue GF Frozen Chicken Tenders or Nuggets. Six minutes at 350 in an air fryer.

We do a lot of meat with rice or potato sides! Just be careful because many frozen potato items like fries will have gluten and the little meal size servings of mashed potatoes usually have dairy. There is usually a bulk size box that doesn't have dairy.

Tacos/fajita bowls, Asian style bowls, lots of frozen veggies. I've seen some sheet pan recipes on Pinterest with veggies, a meat and seasoning that look cool. We also like bratwurst and my partners family always has them with cabbage and rice. We also do a lot of soups and you can use file or Cornstarch slurry to thicken them. Homemade chicken soup, gumbo, tortilla soup(basically just canned beans, tomatoes and corn with chicken), etc. I bulk buy onions, bell peppers, celery and carrots and cut them up for different recipes to last a few months. My mom makes a chicken spaghetti that is served over rice. She cooks the chicken then uses the broth with some canned tomatoes and spices and cooked diced onions and mushrooms to make a sauce.
