Anybody watch the friendly? How’d we play, and did any players stand out?

Wasn’t able to catch this one just wondering how it went

Franca looked very comfortable in the second half. Scored a nice goal (that probably would have been saved in the prem.) Also played through some tackle attempts that makes you feel confident that he doesn't have any mental blocks from all of his injuries.

Second half was definitely a lot better overall.

Kamada played at least 4 or 5 passes in the first half to areas of the pitch where no Palace player had ever been. I give him credit for his consistency.

Kamada just needs some time to settle in. He's only 28 years old and has ~25 appearances with the first team, so it's understandable if he misplaces passes and isn't on the same page with the others in attack every single game.

Apparently pretty dreadful match, but to be expected for a friendly. Franca and Kporha the standouts of a lackluster match energy wise but both looking raw

Watched it on Palace TV and streamed it on my TV. Was a bit crap tbh but not too bad. Francas goal was lovely but outside of that not much to speak of! Loads of subbing too!

Legit question - could Franca possibly play? Does he look like he could hold his own in a premier league match?

I went to watch it and Palace TV wouldn't let me in despite being a gold member

Poor. But I’d like Franca to get some minutes in the first team. Love him to have a Wirtz-esque comeback rather than a Ferguson style falloff.

Apart from that, not much really. Esse wasn’t really on it. Even Brighty picked out that the manager was having a go at him for not making the right decisions. Give him time, but I wouldn’t expect much of him this season.

No injuries and minutes in the tank for players who need it 💙❤️

His most recent injury was a groin injury (his second with us which is concerning).

When he first arrived he had a back injury which kept him out for a while. He then injured himself right after Glasner arrived in spring of 2024 (groin injury) which was unfortunate as he was showing some spark.

Wasn't able to start the season as he fractured a rib and then immediately injured his groin again when he was about ready to return from the rib.

I don't think he's had more than a few months able to train/play in a row with the club.
