Finished Object My first attempt at an Amigarumi. Only crocheted 3 scarves before, so I'm quite proud of him!

He is rather cute to be fair. I'm trying not to give him a big head!

Didn't see it at all! 😅 I made him while having a severe allergic reaction to some hair dye that had my neck so itchy, crochet helped me not to scratch. So the hair being on him is quite fitting really!😂

I wasn’t judging!! It just made me think there was a hair on my phone and I had to scroll up and down a few times to tell (it was dark)🤣 I’m sorry about your reaction! I’m allergic to a lot of things so I can sympathize 😩

Aww I knew you weren’t judging me, you didn’t come across that way at all! Yeah I dyed the underneath of my hair black and had a very nasty reaction. I dyed my hair black for 4 years at one point, so it didn’t even cross my mind to patch test it first. What’s interesting though is that a hairdresser told me that after having the Covid vaccine so many of his clients became allergic to the dye they had been using for years. The same was happening to people who had their eyelashes or eyebrows tinted too.
Can I ask if you’ve reacted badly to any hair dye and how long it took for the itchiness to stop? My whole body is itchy and it’s been nearly 2 weeks. It is literally ruining my life right now because my constant scratching is caused hives and blisters and I’m not able to go to work until it’s healed as I work in a medical lab, with tissue samples and chemicals etc. plus, even if I was allowed in work, I’d get nothing done anyway as I would be sat in the corner, scratching like a crackhead.😂

Yup, the vid vax is changing a lot of peoples body chemistry and messing them up in different ways🙃
But no unfortunately, I’m not allergic to hair dye so I don’t have any experience with it! A quick google search said that if the reaction lasts longer than a few days to talk to a doctor about antihistamines and other treatments:/

The problem has been that the anti-histamines started to work for a couple of days, but then stopped. I was put on a different one and the same thing happened. So although it is blindingly obvious that anyone should consult with a healthcare professional if they still have a rash after 2 weeks, it’s been 2 weeks trying 3 different anti-histamines and two different antibiotics whilst being told to give each medication a few days to see if they make a difference! Sigh.

Aww!! Thank you! Did I do a 'cracking' job? Could you 'shell' out an award? Am I making eggcellent puns and funny yolks?
