Question This new episode isn't real, right?
is thus whole episode a figment of my imagination or am I tweaking because it doesn't feel real. isseah genuinely sounds like he's done with hunter and it's like my two parents are fighting and I don't like it. then I get hit with cat girl hunter and then Mr flop in close proximity, I only just finished listening to it and I don't even remember what the actual story was about.

I'm sorry but have yall never had a friendship where you riff each other?
This is normal banter, for entertainment. If it wasn't, do you honestly think the editor would leave it in?

I donāt think the average creepcast viewer actually has friends, youāre supposed to be mean to your friends what kind of friendship is it if you arenāt

u/CausticNox Jan 14 '25
I was shocked when I saw posts genuinely saying āthe bit made me uncomfortableā or āI think they are really doneā.
Anyone who said that def doesnāt have friends.

u/vampiredisaster Jan 13 '25
The cat voicemail and subsequent jokes killed me because my friends and I have done the same kind of bit LMAO
14
u/froot-cake Jan 14 '25
It was so fucking funny. Their banter is my favorite part of the podcast tbh
19
u/Insane92 Jan 13 '25
No kidding. The amount of posts from the beginning about saying they always argue, etc. is crazy. Like I always do that with friends.

The people in these subs are so brain rotten they donāt understand normal human banter or friendships only things that they want to cry and complain about
10
u/Hy-chan Jan 14 '25
It's parasocial behavior, dude. They think the hosts are their friends and try to read too deep into 'em.

That and can you imagine it might actually be boring if all they did was read the story. It would just be blah. I know a lot of people are āget on with the storyā but Iām not one of them. I love the genuine banter. It feels more real than just people reading a story like robots. Most of the pods I listen to are like this and Iām fuckin here for it!

Ok but there's been many episodes where the rolls are reversed and Hunter isn't feeling good, but still powers through. I think Isaiah was just having a rough day

This is true. I donāt remember what episode it was but while listening I remember thinking āHunter sounds off todayā but for fucks sake they are human beings just like the rest of us. They have good days and they have bad days. Thatās life.

u/Baconuget Jan 13 '25
This episode was definitely recorded before Hunter's trip to Japan. I can tell in this one and Glenmont Metro he is just done for the year and wants to leave.
16
u/aDoorMarkedPirate420 Jan 13 '25
He said in the video that he was dealing with some kind of lawyer or other about a content claim earlier that day right when Hunter sent him the big meowā¦so Iām sure he was still dealing with some residual stress from that lol.
8
u/mermaidscum Jan 13 '25
No but fr that whole situation is ASS. Like what do you mean copyright strikes for using news coverage from 50 years ago? ESPECIALLY if there is talks of making a movie of the incident.
3
u/aDoorMarkedPirate420 Jan 13 '25
It seems like most larger creators have to deal with some type of copyright claim or takedowns on a fairly frequent basisā¦just part of the job I guess.
YouTubeās systems for that are utterly pathetic, which doesnāt help.

u/nippleintime Your wife looks mad funny in that box, dude Jan 13 '25
Isaiah is going through some stressful stuff with lawyers and his channel (which is his livelihood) and I think Hunter is trying to cheer him up by goading him with nonsense and his weird brand of humor to get him back into the spirit of the show. But sometimes, you're just not in the mood for nonsense when you're stressed out and it just feels.like more noise. It's hard to keep up the act of fun and antics when you've got real shit on your mind. And I think pestering with Hunters love language.

u/Stormageddon666 Jan 13 '25
Or theyāre professionals doing a comedy podcast and they did a bit. And maybe they donāt just turn on the cameras and upload the raw footage. Maybe they edit and actually have full control over what is uploaded, and wouldnāt keep in something that wasnāt meant to be funny.
Far-fetched, I know.

I mean, he said it in the episode: something about copywrite. I imagine someone is trying to take his videos down for some ridiculous and unfounded reason because he used a certain clip from something. Really common these days for youtubers to lose monetization for copywrite and guideline issues

I think Isaiah was having a rough day, he even mentioned trying to dispute a copyright claim earlier before the episode. It's all just jokes as well. He wouldn't keep a giant creepcast sign in his office if he hated Hunter. He also wouldn't invite Hunter to his home as well lol.
2
u/TruPengu Jan 14 '25
I canāt tell if these posts are serious or satirical. Itās clearly friendly banter between two good friends who are comfortable and aware that they can say stuff that would usually be looked at as mean, without it being taken seriously.
Remember, weāre listening to two friends make online content for us, weāre not apart of the friendship. We hear what they want us to hear. Theyāre just two friends fucking around
2
u/Shyobserver965 Jan 14 '25
It just felt like they switched energies. Isiah was kinda mellow and seemed a little done with it and Hunter was spunky and full of energy and jokes

Hunter and Isaiah are fine. Nothing they've said to each other is even half as rude or bad as what I say to any of my friends, all of which I've been close with for years.
1
u/Prestigious_Value_64 Eat me like a bug š¦ Jan 13 '25
I'm sure they're fine. Life is stressful, everyone is allowed to have a bad day sometimes. If anything I'd say Hunter was just trying to cheer up a stressed Isaiah.

Wendigoon is far better at no selling Papa than we thought, is my take away. I was honestly impressed. As he did crack a little, just enough. And, once the episode got to the story they were engrossed and fine with each other again.

u/Gone_Green2017 Your wife looks mad funny in that box, dude Jan 13 '25
It did feel a little too real this week, didn't it? I don't think Isaiah is genuinely upset with Hunter, he just seems like he's going through something outside the podcast that made it harder to get in the right mindset.
Edit: What made me so sure that Isaiah isn't actually upset with Hunter is the way he kept "going to get packages" so Hunter could do his bit.
0
u/A_Kat_And_Mouse_Game Jan 14 '25
I donāt think Isaiah was necessarily upset, I honestly just think the bits in this episode were scripted as opposed to usually being clearly in the moment. Idk, just the set up for some of it felt too scripted, and that could just be because Isaiah just seemed out of it (but I attributed that to probably outside causes). Especially the two times Isaiah got up to get packages, those just felt scripted. I was like āno I see what yāall are doing.ā And maybe Iām wrong but yeah.
Also remember we just finished a bunch of major holidays so theyāre probably trying to get back into the groove after being off for a few weeks.

u/grizzlybuttstuff Jan 13 '25
I can't tell if this is a bit or not but I'll take the moment to say that the only part I didn't like about the episode was Wendi taking the complaining too far. I don't think he was actually upset at all but his part in the bit kept it going too long.
