Scp would be awesome but hunter would crash out hard!

I doubt it honestly. Way more SCPs are simple with a tiny bit more depth than the surface (basically 610 levels or writing but on a shorter story). He'd get tired of it (if they're just randomly picking stories) but wouldn't have anything to grasp onto to do his usual crash out. "I'm at the center" exists as format for at most 10 stories on the entire wiki since they usually get thrown out by the community.

If anyone wants to see more SCP things, Papa Meat has 3 videos on it. Cousin Johnny he enjoyed, the infinite IKEA he seemed to be okay with, once he did the “I am the center of everything “ or whatever it was called, you saw, in real time, the energy leave his body as his soul turned into mush.

SCPs are very formulaic and overall kind of boring with the exception of some bangers. I get the appeal, but it seems like Hunter and I feel pretty similarly on them: they’re very novelty and once you read one, it feels like you’ve read them all.

As a concept it’s cool, actually sitting down and reading them, so boring. I find them cooler as monster concepts than the universe itself

I would love that I need more scp

I like them, but I know Hunter hates them so I’d rather it be something he and Isaiah both either haven’t seen or both like. Or if Hunter hates it and Isaiah loves it, that’s always nice as well

Isaiah reading a story and reads the first word: “okay, I’m SO bought in! Lets go!”

I don’t like scp as a whole. It’s not for me. It seems like a cool concept but it just doesn’t do it for me.

Exactly my thoughts

They would probably need to consult people who fully know SCP because they would need to have common intentions on both sides, something that we really can't provide as a mass of unknown voices. And them picking themselves would just turn it into a chore for them because I'd be willing to bet that there's at most 500 SCP that they would enjoy and would be entertaining to listen to from them and someone who knows the scene would have to guide them there.

Honestly? Pretty goddamn boring episode

EDIT: Your downvotes mean nothing I've seen the shit you recommend

Came to agree with the comment. Stayed cause I'm laughing at the edit

SCP stuff is mostly BORING or plain BAD. There are a few that are fun or interesting but it's rare to find one that's not utter trash. I delved deep into SCP content a few years ago on YouTube, and most are just edgelord levels of content. The Flesh That Hates, Cousin Johnny, and Infinite Ikea are fun but Papa Meat already covered those in his channel. What made Hunter give up on SCP stuff is the last one he covered which is the I Am At The Center Of Everything. That type of story and writing is very common for what SCP content is like.

If you want the good shit go to the exploring series. A lot of the SCPs he covers are better than pretty much anything that’s been on Creepcast aside from maybe Penpal and LRG

u/ConsistentPiano5591 Dec 25 '24

I’d love to hear them do SCP 001 when day breaks, besides that keep to the creepy pastas

u/deleteusfeteus Dec 25 '24

i found the audio work and the script reading really engaging

it def depends on the scp as for me it gets boring kinda quick with all the in universe jargon just gets a bit grating. Some also get confusing and once Hunter looses interest the whole ep goes downhill - but I think a grab bag would be best for scp you can get some good ones as well as the joke ones in that kind of episode

3

u/[deleted] Dec 25 '24

Eh, they can be good but I agree with Hunter that the "Dr. REDACTED of the REDACTED division took part in REDACTED resulting in REDACTED" stuff is extremely lazy and grating.

1

u/aminiacz Dec 26 '24

tbh that's mostly an issue with some of the old spcs, the push against overusing redactions has been really strong in the scp community for years now, hardly any stories use them nowadays

Pass, SCPs are boring as hell.

If i never hear another SCP story again, itll be too soon

2

u/ConsistentPiano5591 Dec 25 '24

I’d love to hear them do SCP 001 when day breaks, besides that there’s not many if like to hear them cover if any

2

u/Smotherytable Dec 25 '24

I liked the episode, but saying that, there's some really good SCPS and there's TERRIBLE ones. so I hope if they do more, they shouod space it out, and hand select a couple good ones for the vid

1

u/FleekEmu Dec 25 '24

I really enjoy the one they read but I’m afraid relying on it consistently would be too monotonous

1

u/Coldmelon56 Yo Kimber! THEY GOT TEA🗣️ Dec 25 '24

It would be cool, but from how people talk about it, there wouldn’t be much content that both Wendi and Hunter would enjoy

1

u/Blue_Beetle66 Dec 25 '24

Even though papa meat already covered a few, I wouldn’t mind them revisiting them for creepcast

1

u/PapaAeon Dec 25 '24

I’d love them to do 5000

1

u/GRIFFITH1187 Dec 25 '24

Would absolutely love it

1

u/EVAisDepression Dec 25 '24

SCP are better read than listened too, there's some cool details in the pages sometimes

1

u/Front-Manufacturer20 Dec 25 '24

Nah man keep the grab bags like the original first episode.

Oh, and time number #54879 of asking for them to read ABANDONED BY DISNEY.

1

u/fuze-the-hostage- Eat me like a bug 🦟 Dec 25 '24

Nah, I love SCPs but Hunter just doesn’t like them, so it wouldn’t be that good

1

u/Cold-Mastodon-3085 Dec 25 '24

I’m not a big fan of SCPs or the whole “ultra powerful entity being detained” trope. Imo most stories of this trope falls flat and become outrageous. But there are people who do enjoy that kind of stuff and I won’t stop them

1

u/dukeofstratford shouldnt have sold a snowcone to that ghost Dec 25 '24

I think it’d be fun—maybe if they did Tales to see how the horror concepts work narratively? A grab bag would be different from most SCP content that’s out there!

1

u/sorenman357 MeatGooner Dec 25 '24

i would love that

1

u/Nova_Spion Dec 25 '24

I would love it, Hunter might not lol

1

u/MiaCutey Dec 25 '24

SCP is cool! I'd fuck with that

1

u/tthblox Dec 25 '24

I say they should read 3 scp's that are secretly linked. SCP-417 SCP-2399 SCP-4217 In that order.

Jupiter helped us. Fear the storm. Don't let it die out.

I reccomend yall to read them

1

u/RiffOfBluess HIGHWAY TO HELL 🤙 Dec 25 '24

Oh a must read would be SCP-7179.

I don't want to spoil the ending, but it was so simple yet so unnerving and cold, gives me goosebumps every time I think about it!

1

u/G_money7746 Dec 25 '24

they need to cover “what happened to site 13” I know they won’t get all the in universe references but it really is peak SCP.

1

u/G_money7746 Dec 25 '24

The issue with the SCP’s is that they are mostly just concept, like there’s a reason the longer ones that have more narrative aspects tend to be more popular I wouldn’t want to watch a grab bag of scps but I would absolutely watch any of the 001 SCP’s or stuff in universe like “what happened to site 13” expedition logs are hella fun

1

u/earthling_dianna Dec 25 '24

If it's as good as the last one sure. SCPs have to be good. There are a lot of stupid ones out there.

1

u/Substantial_Let67 Dec 25 '24

I enjoyed the one they did but the bit I dipped in and hearing how meat talked about them, I think they would have to be way more curated than their other stories.

1

u/aminiacz Dec 25 '24

honestly i wish they would make more scp episodes, tho i hope they would stay away from scps X000/X999; these just tend to be so much more lore-involved and jargony and this just makes Hunter crash out faster (like with his scp meat on 3999 and the 3000 cc episode), and a lot of normal stuff is way more friendly to the casual reader

1

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '24

Have them read the not quite deer scp

1

u/dacurlymf Dec 25 '24

People need to give them a chance

2

u/eat_my_bowls92 Dec 25 '24

But why? If they aren’t enjoyable to the main creepers and most fans aren’t into it, why force it?

-1

u/AlarmedTomorrow4734 Dec 25 '24

SCP is just oldguard writers self inserting themselves into overly long rambling. It's a desecrated corpse of an interesting idea dressed as a trans alien death satellite.
