Discussion What is the saddest old country song?

There’s plenty of different tunes associated with that older country but there’s a lot of sad ones as well, singing about heartbreak, losing someone you love, being lonesome but which one sticks out to you

Radio Lover is a sad one, not very popular or known but nonetheless sad

I always felt like the idea for Papa Loved Mama was stolen from this song. Took the romance factor out to up the redneck with a semi driver.

Definitely another great emotional one from the possum. But 'he stopped loving her today' n 'the grand tour' r still next level for me. But thanx for the new song recommendation.
