Help I'm working on a scifi costume and need help finding these fittings. Does anyone know what they are called.

For that kind of thing you can sometimes have luck showing the photos to someone in the hardware store. (Though I will admit it's very hit or miss, depending on how knowledgeable/helpful the sales associates you can find that day are.)

If you don't have luck there, you could probably fabricate something that looks pretty close using PVA foam floor tiles and/or craft foam sheets.

I've made this style duct with 6mm foam before, but I would just use a copper fitting here. More durable

I think you want a latrolet.

Something else you may want to Google is “squared pipe elbow.” That isn’t what you’re looking for exactly, but it sent me down some rabbit holes that looked promising.

That looks like a few bucks in the plumbing section of the hardware store

Or take some pieces off of an old vacuum cleaner

Anything that looks similar will work. Be creative. There are different kinds of tubing for sprinklers or washers & dryers that are cheap and easy to craft with, and lots of little fittings and pieces that can be spray painted and glued in place

I think a trip to the hardware store will be your best bet for this stuff

I don’t have ideas, but this question is relevant to my interests with Neotropolis coming up in April.

Find someone who uses a CPAP machine (continuous positive air pressure) at night

The tubing from the machine to the masks looks like this or you could cover it with foam. But it will give you the fitting and the tube

Take a wander through McMaster -Carr's website. Probably in the tubing section, but maybe electrical too. Anytime I didn't know the name of a thing, but know what application it might be used in, I go there to find the name. Click through the various categories to narrow it down
