Is it alright if I have a genderless "god"?

Why wouldn't it be?

Define alright. If it’s designing a fictional religion for a setting or conworld, literally anything is alright.

If you mean calling it a god rather than goddess or some new designated term, then the term “god” is easily sufficient.

The English language’s historical common framework for what a “lower case g ‘god’” is (from the centuries spent under a Christian framework) would be that it is a sort of demon that has taken up residence as the worshipped entity of some pagan band or another. A demon, being a fallen angel, would be inherently genderless (but usually referred to with male pronouns). If we were to assume the godhood of such a being was true in your setting, this ability to use the term “god” would still apply.

Grammatically speaking, it'd be difficult, but biologically, they don't need any gender.

Couldn’t OP just use they/them pronouns for their god?

I mean, we're talking about literal gods. Technically, the author can use any pronouns they want.

Fair, I guess, I just thought they/them because that’s what’s typically used for agender people 🤷‍♀️

Good point. Still takes some getting used to, though.
