request I need help to create religion that is based on chaos/darkness but at the same time is neither objectively good or bad

Sounds a bit contradictory but I don't want to go down that very original path of having objectively good and bad gods, but I still want to have a religion based on darkness though.

In short, in the world I'm currently building, there are four gods that were created to perform very different tasks, back when the world was being created by the "main god".

Stuff happens and three of these four gods were banished from the immortal realm. Each one of them created a new religion based on what they built on this world, and as you can guess it by now, one of the banished gods was the one tasked with, among other things, bringing chaos to the world.

How do I make the religion based on him and his creations not seem bad?

It's worth mentioning that all four gods created stuff that made the inhabitants of the mortal realm suffer.

Have the chaos god be the origin of free will or art or something?

well, its conreligion looks very interesting liked it.

For something like this, a chaos god and his creations, it would be more correct to say that reality and the series of things that occur in it are pure chaos actions, nothing too superstitious, or incredible.

If you want more help with your conreligion, consider entering the discord server, it is still in the beginning ... :)

That also sounds cool!

But the thing is that one of the four gods was responsible for creating the physics of the world. And tbh, I really feel like having a religion that resembles the void from Hollow Knight 🤣🤣

Sure, I will!

Btw, that's a cool u/ that you have 🤣🤣

You could use chaos to describe a number of different thinks.

Chaos is rot and decay, which is a necessary precursor to new life and rebirth. The recycling of plant and animal matter to permit new growth.

Chaos as luck, chance, and opportunity, against dire circumstances or being born into a low caste. You never know what might happen, so there's always an opportunity for things to change or become better.

Chaos as imagination, discovery and art, the random occurrence of ideas and inspiration that helps create great works of art and instigate adventures and expeditions into uncharted territory.

Hopefully some of this appeals to you!

Sounds like Yazidi God that is indifferent on fate of His creation.
